This place is 100% gluten free and so good!
My husband ordered the $25 carnivore plate. He said it was on the well done side and personally would have preferred more seasoning but still like it.
I had the $20 Cuban pulled pork sandwich. I've had both regular and gluten free Cuban sandwiches in Miami, Florida, USA. This is not a Cuban sandwich, but it is a delicious chopped pork sandwich.
At the end the pancake roll with bacon jam for $8.50 looked interesting so we ordered one to split. I wasn't expecting a side salad to come with it, but it was good. It was a savory dish, not what I was expecting but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Staff was nice and made sure to let us know that they were celiac safe, unlike other restaurants who are slapping GF all over their products without actually taking precautions to prevent cross contamination. I appreciated that.
There is an outside patio to eat at, a bar top, tables and booths. As an American, I was surprised to see people walking in without shoes, but I guess that's pretty normal in NZ.
Overall I'm glad we were able to find this place and eat before going to Te Pā Tū, where I wasn't sure I'd be able to safely eat.
