I came here for breakfast two days in a row and would have kept coming if the timing had worked out. Very pleasant cafe with good food, great coffee drinks, and great pastries. If I ever come through here again I'll try a smoothie. It's right by the tourist-heavy Eat Streat area but it manages to feel like a true neighborhood joint. There were always locals hanging out when I was there. No wifi, unfortunately. Very tasty Eggs Benedict. The food was amazing, the service staff were excellent. I had the pancakes with mascarpone and berry compote and didn't need the maple syrup provided. It came with 3 slices of bacon-fully cooked, I might add, unlike many other breakfast places and buffets we've been to since arriving in New Zealand. David had eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. The hash browns appeared to be like the fast food variety, but everything else was great. The restaurant was clean, spare, and spacious. We sat in the upper level and had a great view. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong. My husband said every aspect of the eggs Benedict was done perfectly. I had the croque monsieur which was so good it will completely ruin all future ham and cheese sandwiches. We are only visiting town for a few days but are already planning to fit in another visit. Great variety in the menu!!! I went with huevos rancheros and thought it was very good. The nice thing that they place the ingredients separately so that you get to choose how to mix your food. The red sauce was really good (I substituted my bacon with spinach). My wife went with the shakshoka and I think she made a better choice that I did. Took a bite of her meal and it was much more richer in terms of taste, I would highly recommend the shakshoka. Finally we ate the French toast which was great! The texture of the toast was just to our liking and the cream/ice cream they served with it was tasty as well. read more

This place was perfect for an early morning breakfast before driving back to auckland. Good coffee, friendly staff, food arrived quick (though, we were there very early on a public holiday, so can't vouch for what it's like when busy.) The muesli was nicely served (I do love a series of tiny containers) and I really liked that orange juice came included with it. Will definitely return next time we're in town. read more

Just the nicest people work at this cafe! It's very cute with plenty of tables. We tried the picnic breakfast which was very awesome - loved the potato hash cakes as they were so crispy and hot.
