This review comes from Los Angeles!! :) We traveled to Kauai over the summer for a family trip and I spent the last couple of days looking for a photographer. I found Annie from a craigslist ad and finally got in contact with her on the last day of our trip around 5pm! I was bummed that we might not have time to catch a photo session before heading back to LA, but she squeezed us in at sunset with time to go back to our hotel, wash up, and get glammed up! I was so thankful and happy! Annie was amazing. We instantly clicked and she took a bunch of great photos for my family! She was so friendly, so talkative, and made us all feel so comfortable. I am so glad to have found her because one of my priorities in Kauai was to schedule a family photo session on the beautiful island. Annie captured all that and more. We even got our proofs the next day, right when we landed in LA. There literally was no waiting period for us! I still have to order additional pictures because there were so many great ones to choose from. Let me start first by saying that I am not a fan of getting my picture taken. I am super awkward and overly critical of myself so it is hard to relax. My husband feels the same and would much rather be doing something/anything other than a photo shoot! I should also mention we have a 17 month old who probably takes after Mom & Dad. On a recent family vacation to Kauai I decided it was time to finally get professional photos of the family. I found Annie randomly via Instagram and I loved her style. Her lifestyle shots looked captivating, raw and effortlessly beautiful. I secretly hoped she could make our family look as amazing as the ones on her Instagram. Annie's communication with us was fantastic as we ended up having to move our originally scheduled date sooner due to weather. She was very responsive and easy going during the process. Meeting her got even better, she is personable and sweet which made the whole shoot so easy and relaxing. She was silly enough to get smiles from our little boy, and made me feel pretty in my own skin. Annie is one of the most amazing, creative people I've ever worked with. She is so loving and makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. I did an "alter-ego" shoot with her which basically means I was dressed up in something I normally wouldn't be caught in (which was super different) and honestly she captured another side of me so well that I don't usually show. It all started with a giveaway. I won this huge social media giveaway and one of the prizes was a mini session with Annie. I was recently engaged and though it was the perfect time to get pics. My husband hated taking pictures and I finally convinced him to do these engagement photos. It was so much fun!!! I hadn't done a professional shoot since doing my senior portraits in high school! I thought we'd both be super awkward and not know what to do, but annie talked us through it all and made us both feel super comfortable.
