That's right, you couldn't find one. It's cuz she's the BEST. EVERY. SINGLE. IMAGE is perfect. I've been amazed at how she is able to take totally crazy, newborn skin (bumpy, red, splotchy, acne, jaundice, you name it) and make it smooth and creamy- and it looks beautiful and natural. Soooo many photographers don't do this well. I see (too often) images of babies looking red/splotchy and uncomfortable, or the opposite happens and they look waaay over-photoshopped and plastic. Summer is an expert in every way. I look at a baby's face and take a photo with my iphone thinking "they are SO cute!!!!" then I see the photo and I think, "what happened???!!!" lol. She is able to bring out the beautiful serenity of the babies she photographs and also keeps the real and natural "feel" of it all. Her use of color and props is out of this world. You won't find a better planner, as she plans every detail. She makes every hair stay in place (sooo important to my OCD-ness) and is conscious of each little, tiny finger's placement of your baby. Carrol was holding a lovely hibiscus flower to her cheek, and the look on her face struck me as "I dare you to tell me which one is prettier!" A friend suggested that I have a portrait painted based on that photo. My top priority for the project was to capture that look. I found R Gregory Photography's website; and their sample portraits did capture the subjects' looks, so I commissioned a work. Adelaide Rooney was my artist, and she quickly grasped what I was striving for. We went through several iterations of digital images, especially alternate backgrounds. Then she went to work on the painting. When I saw the finished work, I cried--it was so beautiful....and LIFE-LIKE! I gave Adelaide an old, faded photo taken by an amateur (me), and she gave me a Mona Lisa. Now I have a masterpiece of my own. How can I ever thank you?
