Such a hidden Gem! We Love coming to this amazing coffee place when my husband works in AL, (I'm from Tx). Spend my summers months only going here for coffee since it was only a walk from the room to this spot. The only coffee place my boy & I would prefer to go to rather than Starbucks. Such a cozy place to relax or get work done. As you enter you get greeted with a huge smile from the gals'. They are amazing at recommending drinks to even accommodating extra add ons. (Was craving strawberry matcha and they made it) and it was amazing! My boy & I would also get the smores frappe, marshmallow frappe, shaken expresso, & iced/hot pumpkin late when in season. They were all good! Every drink was made with the perfect amount of sweet and coffee. I stopped by Moka's and had a fantastic experience. I ordered an iced French Kiss latte--half decaf, half regular--and it was absolutely delicious. Smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I also had an everything bagel with cream cheese that was fresh, tasty, and very affordable. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and didn't blink at my custom order. I stayed to sit, eat, drink, and chill for a while--it's very welcoming, and the music's not too loud. Moka's is a true gem--better than Starbucks by far. Highly recommend! read more

I ordered the iced Christmas cookie latte with oat milk. I love the winter for the flavors and this did not disappoint. I wanted to try a cinnamon roll but they were sold out. I visited Moka's on Monday 10/7/24 around 8:30am. The girl who took my order (inside) was an absolute doll! I wish I would've gotten her name for the review, but I'm sure her manager & coworkers will know who she is by this description- red hair, green shirt, and she was singing Christmas carols in October. She had such a fun, bubbly personality. I told her so, and she invited me to the Christmas Spec at the college in December. She was super sweet and helpful, and made my experience a great one. I left thinking how I wish all interactions were like that one. My Caramel Frappuccino (with extra caramel drizzle) was amazing, and beats out our other nearby coffee shops by a mile. read more

Ordered a London Fog Iced. Probably the worst I have ever tasted. It tasted like milk and sugar. I couldn't even taste the tea. A proper london fog should be dark in color not white. I couldn't taste the earl grey at all. I ended up tossing it out. My thing is if you can't properly make a drink, don't put it on your menu. On the positive side, my husband's iced mocha was good. So if you come here don't ask for London Fog. read more

We were in Saraland for two weeks for work, and we went to Moka's nearly every single day! Their staff remembered us each time, were incredibly friendly, and their coffee was amazing! They have a long list of speciality lattes that were unique and tasty; my favorite was the Butter Beer latte, but we also got the King's Cake, Moon Pie, and a couple others that were all great. If I drank espresso I would Prob feel differently but I really don't like it and just wanted plain ol drip coffee.. which I think every coffee shop should have. Got an americano.. it was tepid at best.. I don't like my coffee being creamed and sugared for me and so it wasn't right ( not anyone's fault, just not at all what I wanted) got a "toasted" bagel.. I wish that no one would smash bagels in a panini press and call it toasted.. it was not edible ( get a toaster, they are really inexpensive) and got fed to the dogs.. It had been a few years since I had been to Saraland and since this was my fave spot before (went every day), I was so looking forward to it. I ordered hot and cold signature/Mardi Gras coffee drinks and they were very underwhelming. Didn't taste anything like what they were advertised for...or like much of anything at all really. The coffee used in the latte I had was good but not really any flavor other than a hint of vanilla. I also tried two of the Twisted Sister Red Bull drinks. Those were both good. read more

We frequent Moka's quite regularly. It's a great place to grab a cup of coffee and have some quiet time while my daughters are tutored in math. It can get quite busy, especially in the after school hours. There are lots of college students working on their assignments as well as small groups meeting to discuss events or just spend time together. At times it can be a little too loud for studying but more often than not, it's a cozy, quaint spot. The outside sign says live music but I've never been there while this was happening so I don't know how often they have it. I do wish there were a few more food options. While I understand it's mostly a coffee shop, the food items they do have are not diet-friendly if you're trying to cut out carbs. The staff is quick and friendly and the management is exceptional. read more

I'm not in Saraland often, but the mornings I am, you can find me at Moka's. Moka's Coffee House is the only coffee house in the Saraland area, and it's conveniently located right off of I65 on Exit 13. Moka's has a variety of menu options including coffees, teas, smoothies, pastries, and a few sandwiches. I can only vouch for a few different coffee items, but they have all been made great and correctly every time I've visited. Their prices are a little higher than what you would pay at other coffee shops for the same item, but since it's a small, local business I can understand the reason for that. Also with it being the only coffee shop in the area, expect long drive-thru lines as well as lines inside during the mornings. The typical wait time I've experienced is anywhere from 7-10min, so leave a little early if you plan on stopping by! read more

People are usually very friendly. Coffees good most of time. Every now and then they are EXTREMELY slow. CAUTION: If you are headed for work and they are slow (I waited 25 minutes once) you will be trapped because of the design of the driveway. We visited some friends and they mentioned this place. We stayed across the street so I would've visited anyway before leaving town because I'm a coffee shop junkie! So the interior is pretty cool, light, airy and a bit industrial/rustic. The 2 girls working were friendly and stayed busy for a while with my family of 5 coming in with a good order. Only gf option for breakfast was oatmeal. The bagels my family got seemed more generic but were used to an incredible bagel sandwich shop back home. But on to the coffee! I ordered vanilla latte and wish I'd ordered a large after tasting it! It was super and my newly, but still too rare, coffee drinking husband even enjoyed a sip. We were in town fleeing the legendary Hurricane Barry...Honestly I wasn't expecting much...it's located in small town north eastern if mobile with very little around. But they were quite good. Got a couple quad americanos that had a nice consistent taste. Also tried their chocolate and banana nut muffins. Very moist and flavorful! Mini cinnamon rolls were tasty as well.
