Milaca Unclaimed Freight did me dirty today. I was traveling from point A in the Twin Cities to…read morepoint B in central Minnesota and happened to take 169. It was a Saturday morning so I made a large tumbler full of iced coffee before I hit the road. About an hour into the drive my bladder decided to go ding ding ding. I knew Milaca Unclaimed Freight was just ahead so I thought I'd stop in to use the restroom. Biggest mistake of the day! After using the restroom I decided to walk up and down the aisles. And boy did they have deals. I happened to be in the holiday home decor section and my hands were full. There was a lady standing next to me and I mentioned to her that I should have grabbed a cart. She responded with "you always grab a cart". So I went and grabbed a cart and put my selections in the basket. I kept running into her in the other aisles. And every time I saw her she was interested in what I added to the basket. She was fun, nice lady. I got stuff for the house. I got stuff for work. And I guess I started my Christmas shopping today too. The grand total was just under $200. That was an expensive rest stop. Dang coffee bladder!

Doug and Kolby are great people, I called Doug at We Haul For You, to fix what Unique Movers…read morecouldn't do. Kolby and his crew showed up on time, rearranged my 26 foot Uhaul that had been loaded badly already (moving to Alaska from MN). Got everything nice and snug, and then loaded what I needed from my apt and garage with a little room to spare. Kolby and his young crew were very respectful and moved things quickly, asking me along the way what should be loaded or not. My stuff was complicated. Got it done in a minimal amount of time too. The following day, I went to uhaul to pick up a car hauler, only to find out that they could only hook the trailer to the truck and help to load my vehicle, but they couldn't strap my vehicle to the trailer. Also the trailer didn't have straps, it was a toy hauler. I am a senior women, I don't know how to do this. After calling a friend for suggestions, and a tow company that couldn't do it, I called Doug. They were just finishing a moving job, he said they'd be there in about 30 minutes. And they were. Doug went with me into the uhaul store and picked out the straps I needed, and he and Kolby got my Jeep all strapped down. Even checked that the trailer was on the truck hitch correctly. They saved me twice, I am so thankful, I was finally able to get on the road. If you need movers, call Doug. Ben and Vern were my two movers, and they were super strong, kind, quick, efficient, professional and had everything packed up in an hour! Once we got to the new place, they unloaded in the same amount of time, and helped me lay out the rug in the bedroom too! They took super good care of my stuff, no damages at all, and were encouraging each other throughout the process and it was great to see their teamwork! I am super appreciative of Doug, Ben and Vern for their help with my move! I would use them again in a heartbeat! Thank you, guys!

Chris was the only person who looked at it who was able to figure out how the water damage was actually happening. Even the insurance adjuster missed it! I also appreciate that Chris and his team worked to save me money, e.g. keeping the original bathroom vanity when we determined it was still usable. This was an unplanned expense, so the ability to work with GreenSky was a big plus, too. The vinyl plank floor looks and feels great; now I wish I could have it in my kitchen and entry, too. Next time, when I hope I have a planned remodel, I will be calling Van Vleet Construction.

Working with Chris VanVleet was AMAZING!!! We had a 25 or 30 year old rotting, 3 tier deck that…read moreneeded to be demolished and replaced. Chris spent almost 2 hours going over the new deck plan I had drawn up, and suggested some changes that would allow us to have a larger deck, and still stay within our budget. Our new deck is almost 10 feet above ground. The stairs go down to a 4x4 landing, and then make a 90 degree turn, and end up directly in front of our gate. The deck is beautiful, and rock solid. Chris and Darian were polite and professional throughout the entire project. Chris made sure that all of our needs were met, and gladly accomodated us on some last minute changes. Chris is a man of great integrity, and a hard worker, and we will be hiring him for future remodeling projects.

At 68, it was more than I could handle, in that short of a window. After closing on our new home, we headed over. The movers were a little early, which was nice. The challenge was, there were only 2 of them. Needless to say, at the end of 2 hours, the mini still had stuff in it. That was with me being fully involved. My wife called and they said they would discount the price. They only took off $120 and we had to pay $460. I would've rather paid the agreed upon amount of $580 and had the job done.
