I was worried the chemicals would affect the animals, but after some research, I found that the products they use are pet- and environmentally friendly and use less water. Ugh! I thought we do not know how to remove mold from there nor how to remove doorframes. Who do I contact? Do we just get someone in construction to do the labor and we continue with remediating ourselves or get a professional who knows what is best for my health and illness. With my mold illness, CIRS, we have to take it seriously, and thus why its taken 3 weeks because I am researching every single step. Well, I went online researching who sounds like they know medically sound remediation... contacted 4 remediators and Corbin of YOH Remediation responded in less than 30 minutes. He came out to assess our damage and said he could spray his natural botanical that penetrates wood, if I felt I needed that peace of mind. However, he also added, he didn't think it was necessary. He said Eddie and I have done a proper remediation and that black under there is saw dust and dirt. He told us how to continue and then we'd be done. He even answered my million questions about other areas of concern and even friend's homes concerns. I even threw in some comments to see how he would reply to sub-standard practices and he was right on point with what a CIRS-WDB doctor and professional would say.
