In addition, there were children in an area of the space set-up with children's toys. One child was crying the entire time I was checking in my dog. This is not a place to bring a nervous dog or a dog who does not like kids as the kids were still there when I returned later in the afternoon. This is a large space and lighting is poor which may explain some of the following problems. When I retrieved my dog, I was told he had ear mites and to use olive oil. Upon taking him to the vet, there were no mites and instead the ears were left dirty. Upon pick-up, it was immediately noticeable that they had only shaved the dog and had not washed him. When I called to set up the appointment, I clarified that they wash the dog before using clippers and was told they do - this was not the case as he was greasy. In addition, his paws were knicked multiple times which is usually indicative of dull clippers (which is why a good groomer washes the dog first). My dog is kept short so there weren't mats or anything that would have prevented him from being washed first. When I scheduled the appointment, the girl took all of my dogs information as well as my grooming preferences. When I dropped off my dog, they asked no questions. I inquired if they needed info from me and they said everything was written from when I set up the appointment. They confirmed to me my desires. However, upon picking up my dog, they had not done the trim as requested. When I asked, a lady told me she forgot to tell the person that did the grooming. They did not offer to make the corrections or apologize. Instead, they suggested I send a picture of what I wanted so it could be shown to the groomer. The lack of concern about customer service was obvious as the implication was that I should be happy with whatever they decided to do. I care too much for my dog to take him to someone who clearly doesn't take pride in their work. This also leads me to question how they treat my dog while in their facility.

I thought it was arthritis but a lump the doctor noticed she said she felt sure was cancer. She said she may lose control soon I had to make the horrible decision to let her go. They could not have been more been more wonderful. The bill was quite high but told me before I left there was an over charge. I would have never known that nor did I ask how much. Turned out to be 200 and it was credited back. I received the sweetest card a week later. Everyone signed and I could tell they knew how much we adored our mollie.

My beloved Hank's CHF was far more severe than they led me to believe, and he suffered because the true seriousness of his condition was never communicated. The veterinarian -- who never introduced herself and was only two months out of vet school -- told me his CHF was "treatable" and made it sound like he was stable enough to go home. I was not told he was already in a critical, unstable state or that CHF can deteriorate within hours. Hank declined rapidly overnight. When I took him to another vet the next morning, I was told immediately that he was struggling and needed to be euthanized right away to stop his suffering. I had already paid $1,300 at Oasis and then another $350 at the second vet just to give him a peaceful passing. Oasis did refund the $200 cardiac medication, but that does not undo the harm caused by their failure to communicate the true severity of his condition. If your pet has CHF, you must be told exactly how serious it is. I was not. Oasis failed to warn me, failed to prepare me, and failed my beloved Hank.
