After my first purchase from Mom Approved Costumes, I have made MANY more. The costumes are amazing quality and value. My daughter will wear a princess dress at Disneyland all day and never complain. Because they are machine washable, I let her eat in the dress, with no worries. Even blueberry stain have come out. My son even has capes and a prince outfit. Also, shipping is always fast! I posted this review on the Mom Approved website, and they removed it! If they really had mom approved costumes & stood behind their products, why would they need to do that? Not cool and I know this mom does NOT approve of that kind of deceptive behavior! That's ok, I've got it saved and I will just keep on posting it!! I ordered the deluxe Belle dress as a birthday present for a 3 year old on April 14, 2018. It was $40 plus shipping. The child wore it twice, and on the second wearing, the front of the dress pulled from the waistband as though it hadn't been fully sewn together. The front layer is just hanging from the dress in one long, dangerous piece. I contacted the company by email and sent pictures of the dress and also used the contact form on the website. After several days, I finally received an email stating that they would work on a replacement dress for me. It is now June 2, 2018, and I have not been sent a new dress or heard from the company ever again. This dress cost a lot of money. It fell apart immediately and I'm very disappointed with the lack of customer service. I do not recommend this company because they advertise that everything is durable and mom approved, but they don't stand behind their products. read more

There are lightning fast responses to questions when ordering, but when it rips during the first wear and you contact them multiple times, there is no response. I ordered a Snow White dress from Mom Approved Costumes for my daughter for Halloween. I ordered it on 9/22. It was sent out the next day, and arrived with a hole in one seam and another part that was about to come apart. I contacted the owner right away, as the website indicates the dresses are guaranteed. The owner called back and said she would work on sending a replacement dress right away (9/29). Weeks went by, I tried calling and emailing, and the owner would not respond. Finally, several calls and emails later, she responded by email and said she requested a replacement and would follow up with the status. It is now the week before my daughter's school Halloween party, and we do not have any indication that the replacement dress has been sent or will be sent in time. I am very disappointed in the customer service and the quality of the dress. This is a company selling products for young children, and I think the owner should consider how a child feels when they receive a ripped dress and may not have a costume in time for Halloween. I used to recommend this company to other moms, and now I will tell other parents to stay away. read more

Great to deal with when you order and fast shipping, however, once you get your item and it rips after one washing you are promised a replacement dress, never sent one, and get absolutely no response to your emails. Seemed like a great concept but it feels like a scam to suck you in and spend your money, only to blow you off. Nothing mom approved about this site. I later learned that this is a common complaint. Better to pay more and just order directly from Disneystore. read more
