We had the pleasure to get to know the owner - Alex. A young extremely friendly and caring person who made his passion creating asian type smash burger become a business. Since we wanted to help his parents, he added other vietnamnese dishes made by his parents. What was good: DEFINITELY the burgers! That's why this place was created in the first place. The signature umami burger for 7.90€ is absolute bomb. Nice soft sweet butter brioche bun with two thin sliced black angus beef patty's on a slight spicy wasabi kind of mayonnaise. It was good! You can't go wrong with burger here! The umami meatless for 7.50 tasted slightly different because the beef makes a lot of difference. The patty is more bean flavored. Overall the burgers are great but heavy and greasy! What we'd skip next time: The pho was good but not outstanding. 9.90€ is slightly higher priced than other spots in Berlin. Same for the bun cha lot 9.90€. Dau Sot Ca for 5€ could be entire dish by itself that lacked in flavor where you could taste the tomato ketchup in the sauce. For 5€ it's a good deal. The chicken nuggets karaage for 5.50€ were crispy, crunchy and soft, served in a sweet sour sauce which was good! Overall: we love this place because of the owners attitude to help his parents and fulfill his dreams. This place is Definitely not a tourist trap although it's customers are mostly tourists. Momo tavern used to be ranked on #1 on TripAdvisor and when it comes to there burgers - it's definitely worth a visit. When it comes to the rest it's not super special and might be slightly overpriced due to the location right at the Alexander Platz Fernsehturm. Would we come again? Such a fun fusion of an American-style burger spot and an authentic Vietnamese/Thai restaurant in Berlin, Germany of all places! Random but I'll take it! I wanted to order the entire menu but restrained myself and just got the Tom Ka Kai soup and Prawn Katsu Burger. Both were wonderful! I slurped the soup down to the very last drop and almost ordered another one. The burger was light and fresh, with tons of great flavor. The basil lemonade was the cherry on top of my order, herbaceous and fizzy. I loved every sip! My husband ordered the Umami Burger and fries and was kind enough to share a couple bites. His items were good, but I liked mine way better. The restaurant itself is quaint and cute. You almost forget you're right in the middle of Alexanderplatz under the TV Tower and not tucked into some quiet side-street in some far off destination. It seems to be family run (I think we met father and son at the register and spotted mom cooking) and every employee we encountered was super kind and accommodating. Momotaro tavern is a Vietnamese fusion with some American and pub like options. Momotaro tavern provided delicious warm pho that tasted sooo good. There was plenty of sliced beef and brisket in a bowl of pho. We tried many of their burgers and all of them tasted delicious. The meat patties were always well seasoned. Our favorite drink was Moscow mules. They were so refreshing. Sadly I did not take pictures but I can tell you we went over 3 times!!! We were in the neighborhood checking out sites when we happened to stumble upon Momotaro Tavern and are so glad we did! It was exactly what we needed to fulfill our cravings. These asian fusion sandwiches are spot on. We had the bulgogi and samurai chicken = yummmmm! We ordered for take out but the restaurant has a very cute modern interior, plus outdoor seating. I don't know if it was partly because I was hungry but this might be the best hamburger I have ever eaten. I love nice surprises. This burger was so moist... It had cheese embedded in the burger but also had this wonderful sauce in top. It was puree'd mushrooms, onions, and times... Cooked for 2 hrs apparently. All on a nice soft brioche bun. The fries were great too... Crisp on the outside and nice moist inside. Great lunch. Loved it. You have to try the umami burger. read more

Located at Alexanderplatz under television tower at the corner. Easily reachable from berlin main station. Take any train from there to alexanderplatz station ( trains run every 2- 5 minutes). Get down and go in the direction of television tower. You will be able to see this at the corner of the street. Sitting places inside and outside. Food: well we went in a group of 8 people so ordered lots of meals. Here you find burgers and asian food. I ordered Umami Meatless and my friend ordered momo herbivore and we shared it. Both tasted really amazing.. was jot able to decide which one is better. And for drinks I took Thomas Henry spicy ginger. My friends ordered home made mint lemonade, which was looking really good with fresh mint. Tried a sip was amazing. For food they ordered samurai chicken, crispy chicken and some other dishes but unfortunately I dont remember the names. Wow. Traveled here from the US and coming to this restaurant was no disappointment. We got Tom Kha soup, mango chicken, and the chicken sandwich....all were sooooo good! The chicken sandwich was my favorite and I usually don't eat meat. Moscow mule and aperol spritz were delicious. The waitstaff spoke good English and were quite nice. However, the food was not quite up to snuff. If you've ever had Umami Burger, you'd be disappointed at Momotaro's rendition. It's got the requisite portobello and umami (with a lowercase u!) sauce, but it's just somehow lacking. That said, the iced tea is pretty decent, the wait was short, and you can't beat the location. If I come back, I'll try one of the less fusion-style dishes. read more

Best Burgers in Berlin! If I lived here, I would eat here once a week. Our meal started with ice cold Berliner-Berg Lager and water. This set our meal up perfectly on a hot day. We had the Hand cut fries with our burgers. The fries alone were addicting and will make you want more. My wife had the American Cheese burger and I had the Umami burger, both were amazing. This was my first meal during my trip to Berlin. I ordered the Momo herbivore burger, sweet potato fries, and a Moscow mule. The crispy shittake patty in the burger was the highlight of my meal - absolutely delicious and filling. I usually dont eat wasabi mayo but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it complemented the burger (and for those who arent so inclined to something spicy like wasabi mayo, the Umami burger tastes pretty good as well). Also a surprisingly diverse collection of random Asian dishes that look nice. Calling it a "tavern" is a bit optimistic, I think the beers are entirely bottled although they do offer a few mixed long drinks that looked interesting. But the food's great, and quick/simple/cheap. Nice option if you want something in Alexanderplatz other than a takeaway. It's a bit tricky to find! It is on the northern corner of the building surrounding the Fernsehturm, near the Starbucks and the Subway. Very close to the Bahnhof. read more

Super busy and packed into a small space. Too many tables and not enough staff. Unorganized and don't do a good job of seating guests. Waited a long time to get food and people left angry because they hadn't been serviced.
