Vegan duck in coco curry sauce
    Why-Tie Z.

The food was good. I enjoyed the vegan duck in their pretty tasty curry sauce. For what's around the area it's good at a fair price. The curry sauce is pretty heavy afterwards. The vegan duck tastes great but was a bit too over fried in oil. The rice was slightly too mushy. But overall Id come back to try other dishes. They also have healthy options. No lunch menu.

Nice little restaurant we wouldn't have thought about going to if it wasn't for the good reviews on Yelp given that it was empty at the time we arrived (7pm). We ordered the Pad Thai and Green Curry. They were both quite good! The curry's flavour was delicious with just the right among of spiciness for my liking (mild). The Pad Thai was delicious but wasn't very flavourful and could have used more peanut sauce. We had to get the server's attention every time we wanted something. There was no visits to the table to see how we fared but they were quite friendly. (Remember we were the only ones in the restaurant the whole time). Overall I'd recommend this restaurant for their food and friendliness.

I absolutely loved this place! We found this place because of it being vegetarian and vegan. The servers were very nice and the menu was a great variety. I would recommend this place if you don't eat meat or even if you do! We got spring rolls and they were great! I really enjoyed them before my meal. I ordered the pad thai and it was super good! I thought that it was very good but I wish they added maybe a little bit more sauce. My mom got the vegan chicken and soba noodles. I tried hers and thought it was great! I loved everything about this restaurant and thought it was great! I would totally recommend if you are in town!

We were looking for a Gluten Free option tonight and stumbled on this hidden away gem. Vegetarian chicken and beef that taste just like the real thing. So wonderfully tasty and all vegetarian!!

    Cheers

This is my recommendation for this plave that I am writing while waiting for my order. So this a clear 5 Yelp-stars for being the only vegan place to go nearby!

Sat 20 mins in an empty restaurant to find they dropped my order of a simple soup. Soup was average in the end, but really just a time waste

The fact that clean, delicious (and often vegan!) food can exist in a modern, aesthetically pleasing restaurant and that people who don't abide by certain dietary restrictions can enjoy and crave. I have an enormous soft spot for baked beans over toast. An English breakfast, if you may. (This is the one mainstay of all of the weeks I've spent in London.) And most of the time, I have a hard time getting this baked beans-over-toast fix because I don't eat red meat, so a proper English breakfast would be out of the question. Not in Berlin. Not at Chipps. I came in on a rainy fall morning on the hunt for the Perfect Gentlemen: scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes, baked beans over toast, and my choice of a vegetarian sausage. And while utterly veg-friendly and endearingly hip (the baked beans came to my table in a little jar), I couldn't help but notice that the meal, such a British staple, fell flat because of what I was comparing it to. The two pieces of vegetarian sausage were cold and the baked beans were just a tad too sweet. But still, maybe Chipps could be your Berlin. Try one of the many other options they have on their menu and I have a feeling you won't be disappointed.

We came here after having been turned away by an Indonesian restaurant that was "full for the night". We are so glad that fate brought us here instead of that Indonesian restaurant!! What were we even thinking anyway -- forget the Indonesian food, get the local specialities!! Ordered the schnitzel as well as the meatballs and both were executed perfectly. Schnitzel was hot and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside -- not overly salty either. Meatballs were juicy and packed with flavor from the minced onions that they had mixed in. The beer (we ordered a Pilsner) was the best that we had tried in all of the Berlin and Dresden restaurants that we visited. I believe it is from some small private brewery affiliated with the restaurant somehow. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right, so definitely order the house beer. Super cozy seating (you'll probably be sharing a table with other guests) and packed all night long but amazing vibes and casual comfort food. Would come back if I ever visit Berlin again!

It was the green umbrellas and seating outdoors that called to me. Unfortunately, like other outdoor dining areas in Europe, smoking is allowed. I just knew I would have to deal with that if I wanted to sit outside. I already saw a few people smoking. When you walk into the restaurant, the menu is posted on the wall behind the counter. It's a casual environment. As the name suggests, the food is vegetarian. Posted on the menu are stuffed baked potatoes, soups, salads, and juices. Bottled drinks in a refrigerator to the side. Tall table seating indoors. The salads are either small or large. I ordered a small quinoa salad and grabbed a bottled pomegranate tea from the refrigerator. While the gentleman rung me up at the register, someone else put my salad together. All fresh ingredients in a bowl. Glad I decided on a small because large is way too much food. A rabbit can only eat so much in one sitting. My drink was good and salad delicious. I used the restroom before I left, which is on the right hand side, through the side door. Had to mention it because the ladies room is a tiny stall for one. Cashless, so don't forget to bring your credit card.

But, that's truly enough, as what they prepare is all very-very good. The way this restaurant is designed is that you walk inside, decide what you want from their menu, and you order it at the counter. No cash. Only card. Then, it is prepared very quickly. I mean, they really do a great job of preparing each dish very fast. In terms of seating, for their interior they have a couple of long group tables and some two person tables along their wall. Me, that's where I like to sit. They also have a large amount of outdoor tables. Most of these table have umbrellas, so it is a great place to sit if you want to enjoy the air. The one problem I have with sitting at their outdoor tables is the same problem I have with virtually all of the restaurants in Berlin, they allow to people to smoke at these tables. One would think, at a vegetarian restaurant, they would not allow smoking. But, I have even witnessed staff members taking a break and going out there for a smoke. This is just something to keep in mind. Normally, I too prefer to sit outside, but I hate to have my eating experience diminished by someone smoking next to me. Overall, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Berlin. The food is very good. They staff are all very nice. And, you walk away feeling as if you have actually done something very good for your body.

It was a well-worth it splurge! Side note: The restaurant was hidden tucked in an alleyway, which we would have never found (or would have been extremely late) had we not scouted it out beforehand. The wait staff were super-friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Out of the 7 courses, my favorite dishes were the kohlrabi, asparagus and the radish dish, and everything was well-executed and with extreme attentiveness to detail and flavor. In essence, this meal was a foodie's paradise! I will make special note of the radish dish as it was paired with a Dijon mustard ice cream, which despite how it sounds, was super delicious, extremely unique, and paired well with everything else on the plate.
