Located adjacent to Giant, MOM's has plenty of parking at no cost. Shopping carts are free to use and it is encouraged to bring a reusable shopping bag. Smaller on the inside than I imagined but the variety of goods being offered were vast. The produce prices are higher and many of their items are organic and have scrutiny on the contents. This is for your betterment and you can find deals with the different signage throughout the store. Set up like any other supermarket, there is more selection of good for you food with less preservatives and dyes. When time to check out, the lines move quickly and the cashier was helpful, pleasant and efficient. I would recommend this store for others and plan to return in the future for more niche items. read more

Mom's Market is an amazing grocery store. I get all my herbs there and food there as well. The staff are so friendly, accommodating, and kind. The store is so beautiful and the food is great amazing quality. I recommend the store to anyone. I love how they accommodate everyone's diet. The ppl working there in Waldorf are very nice and accommodating, but having to use a manual scale that's not even close to being calibrated, ask what prices are because there are no postings for them, ask where stickers or ties to write down bulk item numbers are to be told they don't have any then told to write directly on the extremely thin biodegradable bags are bad enough, but the real clincher was being overcharged by $3.35 for one lime (total $4.39) they refuse to reimburse unless I come back in person which includes an hour and a half ride and I'm supposed to remember to do this the next time I come in which could be in months so now I'm not sure there will be a next time. Oh, and the peanuts, I've already had 6-8 bad ones which ruin all of the others you have in your mouth, yuck! read more

I simply adore MOM's. I appreciate the fact that this is a family owned company committed to delivering high quality, GMO free, organic products to consumers. When I first took a look at their produce section I thought it was attractive, but limited. However, all of the produce is certified organic and they even have a sign posted explaining their choice to deliver smaller quantities to ensure optimal freshness. Their raw food section is interesting, they sell Ezekiel 4:9 bread, Cava Mezze products, grab & go salads, and handcrafted natural bath salts. There are things you can't buy at MOM's like bottled water, but it's all good. There is equal importance placed on the preserving Mother Earth (broad based recycling program, supporting green businesses, aggressive measures to reduce waste, etc.). MOM's encourages you to bring your own containers for the bulk grains, nuts, and seeds. They also support Fair Trade which involves building respectful relationships with partners who promise to pay fair living wages, have environmentally sustainable practices, and public accountability. I swear to you if it wasn't for this moms I would have sold my house and moved. I live in Fort Washington and when I say there are zero healthy or modern options I mean zero! I drive 30 minutes to this moms to restore my faith in humanity and remind myself that is is 2019. They always have a great selection of organic non GMO items and if you request something to be put in store they usually will honor your request. My only problem with this store is the produce section. Sometimes they sell produce that is sub par to their other locations. Mainly kale and lettuce are not worth their price. For some reason the bunches here are much smaller then some of their other locations. If you detest the grocery options in Fort Washington, Oxon hill or any other nearby town. While visiting my mother in Waldorf Maryland in April 2021 she took me to this store. I've been hooked ever since. Now while out visiting mother on vacation again I asked her to take me to my favorite store. Scott nash founded MOM's at the age of 22 with an initial investment of $100 as a home delivery business out of his mom's garage. Our son has an intolerance to both dairy and soy. This is one of the best grocery stores to accommodate his needs. It is a bit expensive and located in a hectic location. The parking lot is always very busy, but once inside it is relaxed. Our son loves the food and beverage samples. What's in Waldorf? I only ever pass through. It seems like a pretty small town lacking the history and culture of places nearer to the water. Everything seems like it's a big chain here. Felt compelled to try the local MOM's though and was quite impressed. Ample parking, right off of a large highway. Big, airy, well-stocked store with large aisles. As with all MOM's, exceptional ethical standards in everything they do and plenty of support for pretty much any dietary need (surely SoMD's largest supply of vegan and gluten-free groceries), with prices above bargain basement but below any other place that has this kind of stuff. Nice! Finally a healthy food store in Waldorf. Thanks to groupon for my half off purchase. They have samples throughout the store and free tea and coffee! I got to try cheese, breads, lotions, chips....This first week, they were giving out free grocery totes. I love Mom's because almost everything is organic, local, and/or healthy. The only downside is the cost of the products, but you pay for what you get. I compare Mom's to Whole Foods, or Trader Joe's. Although they are not as big as Whole Foods, they have a similar amount of variety and all your basics plus the special stuff that you might not be able to find in your average grocery stores. They have everything from gluten free marshmallows to refrigerated fresh pet foods and fresh ground nut butters. Their vitamin and herb healthy living section is pretty big, and so many different health-conscious snacks. I have been there about 4-5 times in the last month and her experience was totally opposite of my experience. Makes you wonder, about the judgement of others. I Moms. I was in the store on March 28, 2020. All concerned about the COVID-19 virus were thrown out the window. There were about 100 people in the store, and no one was practicing any social distancing. Although mom makes every effort to clean off the shopping carts, are the handheld baskets for shopping cleaned as well?Moms needs to limit how many people are in the store at one time. I could spend forever in any Mom's Organic Market and have been grocery shopping here for years now. I love to cook and I always grab something new to make and try every time I go. I enjoy eating exotic fruits so when I have guest over, I have them try something new and it's always a fun time. Mom's has a decent selection of exotic fruits. Also, their supplement selection is fantastic, offering every vitamin or natural herb that you can think of. I'm always grabbing ingredients for my elixirs to make for people since I'm never sick. Mom's a really nice place and love the selection that they have. Each location is different. I've been to this one and the one in Bowie. I think I'm still a fan of the Bowie one but that's probably because there's more snack foods lol. Outside of that this location has everything you need and you can make your own Nut butter in the store. There's a variety of things to try out. From water to bread and hummus to smelling the aroma of essential oils through an oil diffuser. Really nice and spacious place. The workers are very friendly as well and they don't like to keep buying customers waiting. They'll call someone up to the front register if there's 3 or more people in one line! Talk about great service. They also have a place to recycle old phones. A compost and they credit you 10 cents for using your own bag or no bag. Pretty great place. And prices can be a hit or miss. Being at Mom's organic market is truly like being back home! You have fresh food that is all organic, great employees who are very informative and good natured. Amazing prices for the quality of the food that you find there and just a down to earth good vibe through out the entire store. It's virtually like a kid in a candy store each time you go there. Go there with the intention of buying one item, guarantee you'll leave with four or five. Did I mention that they carry your bags out to your car for you as well? Absolutely loved this little grocery store! I had never been to one and opted to do a little shopping here instead of go out to eat during a work trip. I wish they had more prepared foods and produce options but otherwise I really enjoyed my visit and in-store experience! This MOMs location is kind of small, although it looks really big from the outside. The parking lot is a little hectic. It's some one way lanes, so you need to figure out which one to go up and down to park. Honestly, the prices are really high to me, considering I find the same products at many other stores for much less. I don't feel like they carry products that are super special that I can't find anywhere to justify how much they are. The checkout customer service was fine. I don't recall seeing anyone on the floor that was assisting customers, so I can't say how the rest is. Unless I find myself in a pinch, it's likely I'm not going to be a frequent customer here. I grocery shop here pretty much every Sunday. Since this is the only place in the immediate region where I can get certain foods that are organic and brands that are tailored to vegans, this store really has been heaven sent ever since it has opened. The employees are always really helpful and all have a pretty good idea about the inventory where you can go to find it. They also have a water machine that dispenses reverse osmosis water and alkaline water. I appreciate this because water bottles are defintely a waste of plastic and I don't like tap water so this cuts all that out for me. The store in general is environmentally conscientious and I think that's so important for this day and age. The only thing I don't like is the prices. I like this place.. Came here last week when I needed pear juice after surgery and stopped in again today after doctors appointment to pick up more juice.. They have a nice selection of cranberry, orange carrot and pear juice and I love that it's all organic and not too expensive. Grabbed a bag of polenta (I've never had polenta but plan to try a Creamy polenta dish with goat cheese or white cheddar), and Julie's organic sorbet in mango passion which is so good, Im not craving my usual Cinnabun;) I'm on a liquid/soft food diet for a while and I like the natural selections of juices, coconut water and soups they provide plus the mom and pop environment. I've been going to the Waldorf store since opening day. Not knock Waldorf itself, but for vegans and vegetarians there just was very little choice previous to MOM's opening here. It's a great store. Stopped by MOM'S last Tuesday morning while riding my bike home from the gym. Thats when I realised they didn't open until 9AM. They let me in 30 minutes early. Even let me park my bike inside. I am a fan of all the Mom's locations. It's a great local chain altogether. I love that they carry the freshest produce and some hard to find items. But they do carry some items you can find elsewhere cheaper. Just keep that in mind before coming in, that it's pricey and you don't need to buy ALL your items here. I shop for some produce and hard to find items here, and the rest I'd go to farmer's markets or even the local grocer. The staff here are nice, and they give out samples as you shop during the weekend. And it's not Costco and their super high preservative samples, it's actually local and delicious treats. My favorite local grocery store. The produce is so fresh you can tell there's a lot of attention to detail. It is a bit pricy but you can trust the items you buy are fairly and safely compensated/made. You can bring your own containers for dry goods, you just have to get them weighed at a register or customer service before you start filling them. I had plans to make jjajangmyeon tonight for dinner, and was considering driving all the way to Fairfax, VA to go to the Korean Supermarket for ingredients. I decided to check MOM's since I recalled that they carry some international stuff, and luckily they had black soybean paste! I didn't expect to find it so close to home. We had a chance to check this store out while in Waldorf, because I wanted to see what they offer in anticipation for the store they are going to open in soon in Woodbridge. Oh Boy! I can't wait until the new Woodbridge, VA store opens, because MOM's is AWESOME. If you are a Vegetarian, Vegan or have to eat gluten free, you are going to be in heaven here. Their selection of vegan/vegetarian meat substitutes and gluten free products is really incredible. Very friendly staff. I do think that their produce is a little pricey, but, who cares when you have such a totally amazing selection of products that don't contain a bunch of unnecessary crap.
