When I went to renew my registration online for my 2014 Tundra when I received an alert I required a smog test. I was able to come to this location and have it completed by Chris after work around 4pm. There was no line on arrival, two other customers came during the short time I was there. Great little spot to get it done quickly and efficiently for $40. read more

$40 for late model vehicles can't be beat. There was one person ahead of me and it took 30-minutes. Not the quickest service, but look up "the contractor's triangle" if you're not familiar with it. :) I would go back. I would allow for an hour, just in case there is more than one person ahead of me next time. read more

I don't know the gentleman's name who runs the shop but I've taken a few cars over the years for him to smog. It's always a no-nonsense affair you fill out the form when it's your turn and he brings your car in when he's ready to smog it. When he's done, he'll repark your car away from the shop (so other customer cars can be brought in). Just be aware that he does leave the car unlocked when he parks it. Be sure to to keep a close eye on it while you pay. The price is one of the best in the area at only 40 dollars out the door including the certificate. He accepts debit and the test is done quickly. Those who do not pass must realize it's a standard test mandated by CA and if your car does not pass for some reason it's not this places fault. I went to do my sister's smog check and it was a pleasant process. We have never done this before and did not know what to expect, but Kyle was very informative and explained the process which did not take that long! There was only one car in front of us. You go in, you fill out a form, they explain when to bring your car to the front, they do their thing with the machine which only takes about 5 minutes, then you go inside the office and pay! It was very affordable! The whole process took about 20 minutes and thats because there was a car ahead of us! I can for sure say that my sister and I will be bringing our cars here for any future smog checks needed! Highly recommend! read more

They have the best price in the HD. The smog was only 40$. The man who helped me was very fast and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Would not go there again . If there is anything that the technician thinks is suspicious on the vehicle he will do the test anyway. He knows you will fail visual before the test and will not tell you. That's what happened to me as everything was identical on the vehicle to passing many times previously. In my opinion this station is unethical and will take you money knowing you will fail off the bat. Good luck and thanks to Yelp which we should all use for a reference. read more

I've been coming to this smog shop since I started driving and it's the only smog shop I'll go to. The staff there have cut me some slack and have told me just from hearing my car that it's not going to pass just to save me $30 from getting a fail they already know I'm going to get. They've always been super helpful. On the one time they plugged my car in they told me my monitors weren't ready and told me what I needed to do to get them ready so it could be tested. Real honest and quick service. Love this place I recommend it to everyone. read more

We made a reservation to rent a uhaul and arrived before our time to ensure that we would get the service we needed. Once we spoke to someone he said it would be another 30+ minutes before he could even begin to talk with us about the uhaul situation. I explained we had a reservation and he said that it was basically meaningless and that he was not going to stop his main business to help us and we could either wait 30 minutes or leave. We decided to leave. He was totally rude and unapologetic and didn't care about our uhaul. I will never go to this place for smog needs or uhaul. read more

Sorry for the other reviews that were negative my experience was just the opposite. The tech was professional in every way. I needed a new gas cap which he had a new one but did not try and sell it to me with a price hike. He said he would put it on so the car would pass and for me to go buy another one and bringing that one back to him. I was shock that he was willing to trust me to do that. Mom's Test Only Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Apple Valley, California

I was a little nervous taking my car here but they were fast and honest! If your car does not pass here, something is wrong with it! Also if you have an aftermarket intake, it's most likely not going to pass the visual unless it has a CARB number on it that they can input the code in the computer. If you put an aftermarket intake on, it's your fault it won't pass. Do an oil change, change your spark plugs and most importantly make sure you have no check engine lights on, get it fixed, pull the code and have it fixed. read more

So I take my 95 Mustang to get a smog test on it and it did not pass because I needed to replace 2 catalytic converters do I did and to being it back but when I brought it back for the test and the guy gave me a hard time because it was not registered and there was no paperwork ! I'm so mad because he ran it though the smog test the first time so how is that fair? I did what he asked... He was very rude and mean so don't take your car there if you want good customer service ..I gave him a one star because he did tell me what my car needed in order to pass... Very disappointed :( DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE HE WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! KARMA KARMA KARMA!!!' 1/28/2016 - I was in and out in about 10 minutes. The tech said hi, asked for my keys and handed me a slip to fill out. Not much chit chat, and I prefer it that way. It's not the prettiest little shop but I was there to get a smog test, not to enjoy the decor. I have a 7 year old Nissan Sentra that has seen better days and my car passed. This leaves me to believe that the people leaving poor reviews probably just have cars that wouldn't have passed a smog anywhere. It cost me $50 total. read more

Seriously I told this guy I could not afford to pay for a fail. I just had a part fixed on the car that was causing a check engine light. After having a part fixed like that have to drive a certain amount of miles for the computer to be reset. YOU CAN CHECK THE COMPUTER BEFORE SMOGGING IT. I asked the guy to do that to make sure I drove enough miles. Instead of complying with my request he assures me it should be fine. NOT FINE. comes back 15 mins later telling me its failed BECAUSE THE COMPUTER WAS NOT RESET. So had to give him 40$ freaking dollars for a fail when IF HE WOULD HAVE CHECKED BEFORE LIKE I ASKED him to I would not have had to pay that! I would have driven it for another week or so then come back.... but NOOO since im a female with a baby in the shop I get taken advantage of! Never going back! I have been dealing with M.O.M.'s for several years and think that the poor reviews below are miss leading. I have a 2001 Ford Truck with 218,000 + miles that passes the smog check. You need to keep your vehicle's maintenance current. Granted, it's not the prettiest place to do business, but you are there very long. Mr. Burk has always been prompt in getting the check done in a timely manner. I went on line and found a coupon discounting the cost down to $40 including the certificate. My 92 year old Mom goes here. She has a Honda and brings it here every other year for a smog test. Quick, fast, easy and professional. No guff, very hard worker. I see that the bad reviews are either posted by young women saddled with crap old cars by their "man" friend(s), or by disgruntled import drivers who don't know that the time to get rid of their old "reliable, yet wore slap out" import is before it inevitably becomes an oil burning, overheating gross polluter. When these guys say their job is to fail cars, that is nearly true. Their job is to test cars properly and fail them if they actually fail. In most cases, this is handled by machine and it is out of their hands. No part of the decision making process is left to the technician if the vehicle has excess emissions, parts failures, missing/wrong equipment or unsafe conditions. They are not beholden to you to install a $3000 machine in the dash connector to see that your engine computer has stored fault codes. You can buy a $25 code reader for that. Ladies and gents, you might have to actually work! Do your due diligence as a responsible, licensed vehicle operator. How many of you people want to get paid for doing your jobs, even if people are stacking hate on you for no reason? I'll bet you do. My experience here and at the Hesperia location is always positive. I have a good idea my car will pass when I get here because I take care of it, avoid BS trips, and there is nothing indicated as being wrong with it. You should try that before you run down duly tested and licensed Smog Check technicians. read more

I have went to Mom's Test Only Smog for the last several years. My office is right down the street, so to take 10 minutes and run over there it is really convenient. It's just a little old place but who cares. They are super quick and efficient. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially us women in a rush that do not want to sit in a mechanic shop for an hour. Great place. Plus, you don't need an appointment. It cost $50. read more
