Just stopped by for a smog test. I have a cold air intake on my truck which is very obvious upon opening the hood. Instead of the technician letting me know that the truck was going to fail regardless of the emission test due to the intake, he goes and hooks up my truck anyways. The truck proceeds to pass emissions with flying colors, but he fails it anyways because of the intake. He could have very easily just told me that the truck won't pass and not even run the tests. When I questioned why he didn't just tell me that it was going to fail and save me 1/2 an hour of waiting, he become snappy. Not a good experience and I will never take any of my vehicles here again. I recently had my son's car smogged at the Apple Valley location. And, the long-haired man who ran the car (even though he couldn't find the plug-in and knew that it would fail) charged me, then told me that it passed. Then I went to AAA to pay to complete the registration, just to find out that the car failed. I then took the car directly from AAA to the other Mom's Smog test center in Hesperia and it passed. Then, I returned to AAA and finished registering the car. It took all day. I don't know how this man has any stars on YELP at all. read more

The mechanic was very thourough and did the check as required by law. I called before I arrived to check on wait time, which was minimal. My car is older but in near perfect condition and I was pleased to see that care was taken by the mechanic in getting in and out of the car and with the testing equipment. No slammed doors or hood, no scratches, no leaning on the fenders. Since I had never been to Mom's it was a pleasant surpise to find a shop that cares about your car. read more

this place is a freakin joke... i took my car there... 3 times in the past 6 yrs for this smog test... and now all of a sudden .. the parts ive had on my honda all this time are not for my car??? and u cant pass me?? please tell me how u passed them all the other times.. these guys r idiots... they r cheap but u get what u pay for.. def not recommending this place to anyone.. not even my enemies....... ps.. ur place is a dump..... :) read more

Just reading some reviews and decided to vent as well! This place SUCKS!!! I know I'm a woman and taken for a sucker at shops like this but I do know a thing or 2 and have a lot of friends that are mechanics. If you are a woman stay clear they are dishonest and after reading other reviews I had to write this in hoping they go out of business soon! Was $30 worth a bad review? For these greedy a-holes it is! Stay away from this place they are miserable jerks that will take advantage of you!
