If you have an inkling that your vehicle will have an issue passing, don't take it to this smog center. They are not a "don't pass don't pay" business. My vehicle didn't pass the visual but I was still charged the full amount for the smog. He could've stopped there and suggested coming back after resolving the issue. But nope kept going and even entered it into the smog system as a "tampered vehicle". I was looking for a new smog place that was more convenient to take my vehicles too. This place is on my way home. But nope won't be taking it here again even for a retest. I'll look for another place. **Update: contacted them this morning after reinstalling my stock air box. Even though it was only a couple days since the first check i was told it would be another $50.00 for the retest. Mind you my vehicle passed every other check but the visual due to no EO decal on my intake kit. I spent an hour swapping out the intake since it would take weeks to get another EO decal. So not taking it back to this place, not giving them any more of my money. They definitely lost my business. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with Tri City, take your vehicle to Test Only All Star in Victorville . If your vehicle doesn't pass the pretest you don't pay. You only pay when your vehicle passes. The owners are awesome and explain everything. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Will definitely be using them again. Oh and the best part is they are cheaper than Tri City!! read more

Great place, I showed up 2pm on a Saturday and the owner was just getting ready to close up. I asked if he could fit me in and just like that my truck was being checked (2015 ram) and passed without issue. I gotta say Roy was very nice. He charged me $45 and the entire thing took me about 15 minutes. Totally worth it! I went there cause my wife had her Renegade checked by Junior the week before and she said he was nice too. read more

Wow, great service! The smog tech was testing a car when I got there. He stopped for a moment, greeted me and said the wait would be about 5 minutes. Sure enough he was done as promised and got my car right in. Quick and easy, I was done and back to work. I will be back, I have to do my truck soon. read more

I googled smog check stations and this place popped up, so I went to the website looking for coupons and if it was a pass or it's free type of place. I knew that my truck was possibly going to fail due to the check engine light I just cleared, and it did. I found on the website a coupon for second smog check free if you fail the first time. the technician asked questions about a dead battery or clearing a check engine light which I told him I did the day before. He told me to drive it around for awhile and bring it back and he also show me on my code reader what to look for before I Brought the truck back. Passed the second time, very knowledgeable, friendly, clean place and fast service. I would recommend this place to everyone one and am now a steady costumer. read more

I would not recommend this place! I had my vehicle smoged here and was told that if it failed I wouldn't be charged full price for the second smog. Well when it came time to have it resmoged i decided to call firstjust to verify that my 2nd smog was at a discounted rate and was told $21, after getting there and the time came to pay he said it was outside the 30 days ,so I would have to pay full price.take in consideration that it does not state a time frame no were on the receipt or on in his or in his shop. After bring this to his attention and standing up for myself which he did not expect,he look dumbfounded and pursued to say are you going to argue with me. I guess that's what you get when you have a hillbilly smog checker with no education or customer service / people skills. I then went to Sid's Automotive right down the street( should have done in the first place) expressed what had happen and he only charged me $20 and earn my lifetime business and a few recommendations to family and friends. Also take in consideration if you do go to a place that does not provide any automotive expertise and you do have a problem with your vehicle (failing) you will have to go pay more somewhere else instead of a place like Sid's automotive where they can help you with a smog and some advice on how to fix it if it does not pass. Good customer service is what we all look for and you will not get it at Tri City smog. read more

the smog technician is a person that likes to confuse his customers misleading and the end he changes the price I went from a trailer smog check 3175 B to a $60 fee quite a difference I have asked for an explanation he says my smog check pass accept that I have to go to run the car for 200 miles and come back and then it should be okay I left place with lots of questions and I'm not going back not to get ripped off again read more

I have been using this place for years to do my vehicles. This will be the last time. Had my vehicle smogged and it failed because I had a dead battery 2 weeks prior and it needed to be driven more for the monitoring to register. They charged 40 bucks. I proceeded to drive the vehicle for a 100 miles and then returned and the vehicle was ready for smog. He told me I would get the second at a discount. So here was the discount. 1.75, still charged me 30.00 for the second smog so after a total of 70.00 for the smog. This is ridiculous. read more
