The staff has changed since my daughter attended, but the classes are still very enjoyable and worth it. Ms. Nicole leads Rock It Baby and she's wonderful. I highly highly recommend Over the Moon for both baby and toddler classes. One thing to address from my last review. I mentioned my daughter was at a different development stage than the peers she attended classes with. At age 4 my daughter was diagnosed Autistic. Seeing the difference between her and other kids her age is what set us on the path to getting a neuropsych evaluation for her. I really appreciate that Over the Moon gave us the opportunity to see our daughter interact with her peers. I was a first time parent and it was just after the first COVID wave so I didn't realize my daughter was missing milestones. Today, my daughter is 6 and thriving. Mainstreamed for Kindergarten and extremely talkative.

The classes all have the same routine (song, parachute etc) with an activity for the kids and parent discussion topic that changes weekly. With both of my kids their TLC class has really been one of the most anticipated activities of the week. They have definitely learned new songs and vocabulary from the classes but, more importantly, they practice things like patience, turn-taking etc. in a environment that is warm and engaging. Also it is very clean which gives peace of mind (especially in the winter months with cold and flu)

A month later I receive a call from Carly saying she verified my insurance would I like an appt. I asked why it took so long to hear back she said I was on a waitlist (now I know the real reason- Carly dripped the ball)but after searching for other counselors and having limited options I agreed to be seen. While on the phone I confirm address and inquire about the person I'm seeing not in the website- Carly didn't respond and just confirmed the address. I go to the address and it's the wrong address. Since it was already 7pm in the evening and I knew dealing with Carly was a chore I didn't bother looking up another address/location. Carly calls 2 weeks later leaving me a voicemail if I still wanted to be seen, if not they would discard my chart- great message! I called back still interested but Carly's attitude sucked so that was the end of that. Carly find a new job please- people are looking for guidance and help and you lack basic customer service skills.

Informative, empowering, respectful, approachable, individual, caring, encouraging. But, at this point I've had my baby. I had a natural (no epi, no pitosin, etc..) birth at a major hospital. It was an amazing experience (seriously) and I owe that in large part to Zina's teaching and guidance. This is how Zina's classes helped: 1. My husband and I had learned what was happening at different stages of the birth process, and could make informed decisions once we got to the hospital, we didn't feel like we were being told what to do and instead were an active part of the decision-making process. 2. I felt confident and excited, instead of apprehensive and scared (if left to my own devices, I'd just feel scared). This made such a difference. 3. Probably the biggest difference was that when the time came, my husband and I were a team. It's natural for a partner to want to help, but oftentimes it's hard to know how, especially with how birth is portrayed in movies. Zina's class gave us a 'toolkit,' and having those options and ideas at the ready for when you don't really have time to think was key.

Martha is the whole package - kind and supportive, super hard working and extremely knowledgeable about babies, childcare, parenting, and any relevant topic in between - from breastfeeding, to mental health to postpartum exercise, In addition to completely taking care of me - preparing delicious food, doing laundry, making sure I was hydrated and giving me precious time to sleep and shower, Martha didn't just help care for my newborn, she taught me invaluable skills of how to take care of my baby as a (pretty clueless) first time mom: How to breastfeed, how to decipher her cries and understand her needs, and how to deal with the multitude of unexpected issues that I wasn't even aware could affect new moms and their babies. Her guidance, encouragement, and wisdom increased my confidence in my ability to take care of a newborn baby and removed much of the anxiety of becoming a first-time parent, which allowed me to focus on enjoying this special time with my daughter.
