The staff is fantastic. They're all very competent, patient, and loving. My older child has a flair for the dramatic, but they handle her sometimes grandiose tantrums calmly and lovingly. They have a very stable staff; remarkably low turnover compared to most program. This was very important to me. When your children spend close to 30 hours a week somewhere, it needs to feel safe, secure, comfortable. High levels of turnover would make that impossible. My children are very attached to their teachers. The curriculum at the center is exemplary. They use a lot of targeted play that allows children to learn and develop skills while enjoying themselves. For example, in any given day, my kids look forward to playing in the sensory table ( filled with anything from coffee beans to shaving cream), the imaginative play area (that is set up as a grocery store this week and a doctor's office the next), outside on the play ground, taking a field trip to the post office, having the music lady / yoga lady / tumble bus come, meeting in small groups to work on counting skills, and more. Another feature that was very important to me when I was selecting a center was NAEYC accreditation. It's hard to compare programs; you should be able to hear positive things about any center, and it's hard to know you found a good one until you're already entrenched. But NAEYC accredited programs are relatively few. This accreditation was important to me for two reasons. A) you can't get that accreditation unless your curriculum is up to the association's high standards, and B) it is a lot of work to get and maintain, and thus shows that the center believes that "good enough" really isn't good enough; that they want excellence. The program is top-notch. I adore BY. Even more importantly, my children adore BY. More days than not, my daughter is disappointed when I come to pick her up. I hear "No, I'm not ready to go. We're just about to read another story/go outside/dance/ play in the imaginative play area." For me, that says everything.

All of his teachers were wonderful, caring and responsive. They were very respectful of our requests, and they were all clearly invested in our son. The directors and administrative staff were incredible as well. Our son had some health issues during his time there and I cannot say enough about how amazing everyone was in helping him and us during that time. They became like an extended family to us. They also did a great job with cleaning protocols and managing pandemic-related challenges. The facility itself is clean, bright, and safe. Next Generation Walpole is a caring, supportive, nurturing program where children can thrive, and families are supported.

They had him sort, count, repeat syllables, recognize patterns, identify various items/numbers/letters, and numerous other tasks to determine where he was developmentally and intellectually. WELL, he did amazing! What the facilitator and I were most surprised about was his letter recognition skills. So much so, that the woman asked me IF HE COULD READ! I know my son is a smart boy, but seeing him excel so far into the testing really blew all of us away! I just wanted to recognize and thank all of his teachers and the staff at KinderCare because, really, I owe it to everyone who has been teaching him and helping him learn more and more everyday. One is now in Kindergarten and has excelled in reading, writing and math skills which I credit to the amazing educators in Rockland. The teachers are devoted to the children in their care and the families that they serve. Each day is filled with lots of activities and areas for them to learn and develop. They communicate with me on a daily basis about my girls accomplishments as well as the areas that they need some more help with. They have become part of our family and we love them. Kerri, the Center Director communicates with us constantly about what's going on in the center, the fun activities that they have planned and anything else that is going on with my child. She greets each child with a warm welcome each day and always has a special story about my children to share with me letting me know that she sees each child as an individual. My daughter adapted relatively fast due to having so much fun throughout the day. She loves her teachers and is excited to play with her friends. The photo updates are so much fun to receive and are good conversation starters when I pick her up. I am grateful for Encounter. The staff is professional, communicative, and loving. The infant teachers are wonderful. They are very loving and take great care of my infant daughter as evidenced by how well she has adjusted there. It's not just a "daycare", it's a school for little ones. My daughter already has art work on our fridge. They make sure she is stimulated in a loving environment. They were really put to the test when an emergency situation arose this winter with a snowy roof that led to an evacuation. The teachers and administrators of this school were stellar. Their response time and ability to keep all the kids safe, warm, and happy was amazing. Now being in their new facility they have the whole package. The new building is bright and cheery and very welcoming. The administrators of this school are also very eager to hear from you and quick to respond to any concerns and they welcome the feedback. Overall we are very happy with our choice to send our daughter to Little Sprouts in Dedham.
