It's a chain meat market that has amazing marinated flank steak known as ranchera or carne asada. I called ahead to see if it was best to place my order online and then come in or if I could just walk in and order. They told me to order online so I did and I had to place the order a day in advance. I thought that was perfect, that way my meat would marinate all night. When I arrived the next day to pick up my order, it was not prepared at all! I was super disappointed when I walked the counter and saw that the flank steak was not marinated. The butcher picked up a regular price of flank steak and threw some marinate on top then he sealed it. It wasn't sealed properly and it leaked all over the bag I waited until the following day to have the meat since I wanted it to be super flavorful, boy was I wrong. That meat is the cheapest and tasteless meat I have ever had in my life. Only the outside pieces were marinated while the middle ones were not marinated at all. Hiding under the first piece of meat was a ton of pieces that had a bunch of fatty pieces. They are asking us to pay premium prices for mediocre quality. It was 17.99/lb for the marinated flank steak. Any cut of bistec from any other meat market would have been better than this crap they sold me. I also got Al Pastor and the chunks of meat were really big and also a lot of fat in the meat. The color of the meat was correct but tastes nothing like Al pastor. I also ordered chorizo and that one was just as fatty. Overall. I will not be returning. See my photos for the meat quality. 18/lb is insane, that is actually more than what the same chain meat market charges in California. Being Texas, I expected better quality meat than California.

There are like a billion stores in this shopping strip, so this liquor store is not an easy find. I found this place on google maps when I searched for liquor stores near the area that I was in at the time, and it came up as the nearest one. When I arrived, I had issues locating it because of the numerous businesses that occupy this shopping strip. However, when I finally spotted it, I was a bit confused as to if they were closed, open, or out of business. The place was dark and I could barely see the open signage even though it was on. When I grew closer to the place, I was able to see the open signage much better. It was on, but very dimly lit, as if it was on its last leg, lol. The windows are darkly tinted which is why I was confused as to if the place was open for business or not. Because it's small and surrounded by so many different businesses, it is difficult to locate, especially with the dark tinted windows and dimly lit open signage. The owner should make some minor adjustments to make it easier for patrons to find this spot, by making it stand out more in some kind of way. Furthermore, customer service was great! The cashier was an extremely friendly, welcoming, and down-to-earth person. When I entered the doors, from the rear of the store where she was occupied assisting a customer, she yelled, "Hello! Welcome! Come on in!" I appreciate happy people because it encourages me to spend more money, lol. We had a lovely chat during my visit and the entire experience was pleasant.
