We learned of sharedtours.com from the Rick Steves guide. Contacting them and booking the tour was easy. We did the all day Amalfi coast tour. The guide was informative and entertaining. I only gave four stars because the meeting instructions clearly said 9:00 and at 8:52 the guide called me asking where I am because they were waiting for us. While trying to explain my location the guide kept talking over me. Then I told her I can see her from my location and she was yelling at me, how can you see me you're not here. We had a private walking tour in Pompeii with Dario. He was AMAZING. He had an outstanding personality, combined with a ton of knowledge about the area. We ended up learning so much more than we expected, and the 2 hours felt like 10 minutes. This was our third visit to Pompeii -- along with cousins who had never visited Pompeii -- and it was the best thanks to our Mondo Guide! Our guide, Che, was terrific.  She is one of the two or three best guides we have had in over 40 years of international travel. We learned more from Che than we had learned in all of our prior trips combined.  As an archeologist herself, she was very knowledgeable ... and extremely entertaining! When we arrived from our cruise ship, Eddy was waiting for us in the taxi area. I could tell we were going to have a great tour with him because of his inviting smile welcoming us to Napoli. We booked the Pompeii, Positano and Amalfi tour. We decided, upon Eddy's recommendation, to go directly to Positano and do the Amalfi coast first and then finish the day with Pompeii. As we drove to and thru the Amalfi coast, Eddy gave us insight to the greatness of Napoli and the surrounding area. He discussed the impact of Napoli to society and also the impact of what occurred with the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. We stopped in many scenic areas on the coast and spent one hour on our own in Positano. While in Positano, Eddy made us lunch reservations in Amalfi. And yes, Eddy set us up at a great restaurant with great views and food for lunch. After that we went directly to Pompeii. Eddy called for a private guide when we arrived and we went through Pompeii and saw the most important places. We only spent 90 minutes in Pompeii, but we felt we really saw what was the most significant things there. Overall, our tour was fantastic. Eddy was a great driver and just fun to be with. His knowledge and love of the area was clearly shown. Lastly, my brother loves to sing when we travel. Eddy and my brother were singing Italian songs and it was just a lot of fun to watch. If you decide to book a driving tour, ask for Eddy. You will be glad you did. read more
