He listens to everything you tell him... he's not judgemental, and he goes with the flow with everything that is going on. And being a doctor, I'm sure that is a hard thing to do sometimes. But once I was introduced to him, and having him just being a few years older than me... I felt a great connection with having him being my doctor. He's been able to help me when I've been in a pinch with being sick, and is always willing to take a late phone call from you to verify that things are still good with you. Its that type of personal respect that makes it in my book.

I have a fairly stressful life, and Dr. Shindler suggested that I give it a go to help relieve stress. Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health. Fast forward to today and I get a bill for this call. When I called the office and said you need to tell people this. I would never of said yes, still call me. Im furloughed right now and paying 35 for the office visit was a lot for me. Why would I pay another 35 for 5 minutes? The lady said I always tell the patients that this happens and I said I didnt talk to you. She put me on hold for 20 minutes. I hung up and called back where the immediately placed my call to billing. I then called from my sons phone and they hung up on me 3 times. This office will screw you over for money. They won't tell you, but they sure as hell will charge you. I won't be back and I won't be paying their ridiculous charge for something they never told me about. The Dr is great but the office people are unreal and utterly incompetent.

They are usually really good about getting me in same day if I need to be seen and am not particular about which doctor I see. If I want to see my Doc or one of the other ones I prefer sometimes I have to wait until the following day. There usually isn't that much of a wait once I get there. You can usually email them if you have any questions about medications or concerns. Most of the physicians are very patient and don't rush you and will let you ask about other medical/health concerns that aren't necessarily the reason you came in and not make you feel rushed. Sorry I'm not naming names, sometimes you just don't mesh well with certain people. I don't want to tarnish someone based on my preferences.

QUEST is their vendor who does these tests. For Vitamin D test, they charged 250 dollars through Prime care. If you go direct to Quest its around 60 dollars. You can shop around and can get for less. Tried to tell someone at front desk I had to leave for another appointment (it being the middle of a work day and all), but there were six people ahead of me waiting to be seen. Called when I left the office to try and let someone know I had left; hung up after being on hold for 15 mins. Called the next day, same thinh. Called the day after and after waiting near 20 mins, finally got through to someone who told me it would be two months for the next available appointment. This doctor is systematically overbooked and understaffed, with absolutely no regard for his patient's time.

As a last resort I called Livonia Family Medicine Associates since my PCP Dr Bradley works there. I called at 1PM, was seen via video visit at 3:30, and at 5:30 arrived home with my antibiotic script in hand. Five days of pills later, I was cured. My urgent care experience was terrible and unacceptable but my Livonia Family experience made me well. And my office visits have been fine as well. Thumbs way up for this place!

The staff are also friendly, competent, and efficient. Love that I can get my blood drawn here instead of going to a lab to have it done. They have also been able to fit me in last minute for sick visits (Dr.Klein is also great). The only thing that would improve this practice is if they had more locations--it's an hour from where I live but still worth the drive.

He doesn't seem to try to over do medication unless it's needed and takes the time to talk through options. He is very busy and the need to document everything in his office I think is very time consuming. I just switched insurance and I am hoping that with the change where I have a deductible that I'll still be able to come here. We'll see what that will look like,but otherwise my experience with him and his staff have been positive.
