I had been cashing my checks there for over a year, which I tried to explain to the asian dog faced rep I was talking to but she could care less, I had just switched jobs so the check i had wasn't from the same company. Had me sit for 10 minutes just to pull me back and demand my new work address and phone number, I gave it to her and was told to sit again, no thanks i am not sitting on any of these urine stained chairs i will just stand here. 10 minutes later I am called back up and she hands me my check and says " We no cash this check here, you try bank" I asked why and the only explanation I got was the "check approvers say no". I was so infuriated. i mean if this place burned to the ground with the horrible employees locked inside the world would be a better place. Long story short, this is a horrible business and company, avoid them like the plague.

They ask for social security numbers as well you shouldn't be needing socials only licenses especially if you're running an actual business. I should call business bureau on yall

After spending, literally, hours on the internet trying to secure a measly $100.00 loan, (my credit…read morescore is only fair and I have no credit cards, so that hurts me, plus, I rent a room), and getting the infuriating loop de loop of entering all my info only to be sent to sites that merely were just ads. I decided to specifically search for DIRECT Payday lenders. I had already wasted precious hours. Finally I found an actual direct payday lender in California. (several listed are no longer in service) This one asked for more personal info, including 2 contacts and their phone numbers. It also asked me to verify everything twice. However my first real inkling something was amiss was that it had asked for the month and date I got paid BUT it had greyed out both boxes so I could not answer. Then, I attempted to put my phone number in and a warning popped up saying "incorrect date of birth". WHAT??? I finally figured out that meant I did not need to put in any punctuation, but it took a few attempts to figure this out and had NOTHING to do with date of birth. I trudged on. I got to to the bottom of the page. A pop up box told me to be aware that they could contact my listed contacts and ask them about me. I needed to okay this.Things that make you go "Hmmmm?" No other payday loan threatened to do that. However, the topper was that their system, after I checked off the box, insisted my bank account info was incorrect. I had the checkbook RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I have wasted my time. I do not have $100.00 I am angrier than a hornet doused with hair spray! I tried calling the number. I was told "Mailbox is full " If this company is not an outright scammer, it sure has a lot of suspicious glitches. I immediately went back and deleted all the info. Seldom have I seen such incompetence in a financial corporation. THANK YOU FOR NOTHING CASH MAX! I WILL REMEMBER YOUR NAME AND AVOID YOU LIKE COVID!

I came here to get a money order on the 5th of June. When I walked in the door, I was greeted by…read morethe teller who said she would be with me in a minute. After waiting 10 minutes for the transaction in front of me to be finished, a man walked in the door and waved at the teller. She looked at me and said, "he was here earlier and asked me to call him when the line had died down. I will be with you as soon as I finish with him." So I waited for the original transaction to come to a close, and sat for an additional 15 minutes for the man to be helped before me. When I got up the the window I asked her if I could purchase a money order with my bank card. She said "yeah no problem!" My money order was for $595, which had to be split into 2 separate checks. I assumed the fee for each was around $1. She informed me that my "grand total" (her exact words) would be $596. I remember making a comment like "oh wow only $1 that's great!" I handed her my card and received my money order. Today I checked my bank statement and saw the transaction had cleared for $609. I called the location and explained that they had overcharged me $13. The woman on the phone was very unapologetic and said "well it costs money to unload a bank card." I told her I never would have paid almost $15 to make a bank card transaction if I would have known; as I could have easily gone to my bank and withdrawn the money for free. PLUS, no one ever informed me that this type of fee even existed. I asked for a manager and she replied, "I am the manager". After further discussion, she finally agreed to contact her "boss". She came back on the phone and again informed me that there was nothing they can do. To the unhelpful "boss": I will be contacting my bank to report the fraudulent charge. Buyer beware. This location is sneaky and tricky, and clearly does not value any type of customer service or integrity.
