Finally tried Monk & Mongoose yesterday. I would love to go back to check out more drinks to have a better sampling, especially the seasonal drinks, but I ordered an iced matcha tea. It was pretty good. I think I needed to order it with a little more sweetener but it hit the spot for the craving. Fast service. Nice vibe inside. Had to order and go unfortunately, but I'll keep this spot in mind for friend coffee meet ups since it's a nice location and pleasant coffee shop to hang out in.

I like this coffee shop location due to its proximity to Sky Ridge - it was a nice break when waiting for my husband to get his appendix out :) It's on the louder side so even though I saw many people on their laptops, I personally would not enjoy working remotely or studying here. They have some tables outside, free wifi, and bathrooms shared with the building. The coffee they use for espresso drinks is not my favorite - too dark of a roast for me. I'm sure I'll be back regardless for the location alone.

Good latte! Nice ambiance, very crowded some outdoor seating. The chocolate croissant looked and tasted the same as every other place-- so was not homemade, still tasty. Decent service, but a bit overpriced.

Place was great to come too! The gentleman was very patient in trying to help me figure out what drink to get . I ended up getting a breakfast sandwich which was very delicious It was completely full which tells me that the place is very popular. Loved the setup of this location and how tasty the coffee is.

The food is very good. We had the turkey sausage, egg, and cheese Sammie and the ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was light and flakey. The service was fairly quick given the long line of customers out to the door. This is a vibrant setting with great coffee and breakfast treats. It's always refreshing to start my day with a place like this one.

Delicious coffee and great service, can't go wrong ! Very busy coffee shop but for good reason and the wait times aren't long at all. Visiting from Texas and I really enjoyed this place !

Easy 5 stars. The coffee is fantastic, the food is great, and the vibes are there. Excited for my next visit.

I came here to try their Americano. The espresso was just fine since the fragrance and the flavor of the coffee beans were a little bland. Definitely not acidic comparing to some, so that's a plus. There are plenty of seats inside and outside, and they are dogs friendly. This is a good place to meet up with someone. It's not a place to work unless you sit ouside since it's super noisy inside! Although I don't know how this place is on a weekday. I was here on a Saturday morning. Overall, I may return to try their other drinks or plan on meeting up with someone.

Food: we got butter and almond croissants and they were delicious. I wish I had caught the beautiful lady's name but she was kind enough to warm them up for us. Service: absolutely great, wouldn't take any review away from them! Coffee: we got the chai latte, mocha, sugar cookie latte, and hot chocolate for my little babies. They were not only beautiful but delicious! Whenever I visit Denver, I make it a point to come visit here!

Ask the Community - Monk & Mongoose - Lone Tree

Is the matcha pre-sweetened or can it be made unsweetened?

Hi there - it is unsweetened naturally and is prepared that way. You can make any addition you like such as lavender that would add sweetness / sugar.

I ordered the chicken fried steak skillet. It was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, seasoned, and gravied. Our server suggested the hash browns instead of the country potatoes and she was not wrong. Food took about 30 minutes so that's something, you think they are clearly cooking to order. Now if only they could cook you something edible!! The food was disgusting. My Southern Benedict had school-lunch-style "chicken" tenders on it instead of real breast meat. The eggs are not cooked to order, those are very clearly pre-boiled eggs (Pssst, Early Bird, Boiled is NOT the same as Poached!). The biscuits were not biscuits at all, I think it was an English muffin, but either way, it was microwaved to the point it couldn't be picked up, the bread just crumbles around. Couldn't even finish this mess of a meal and had to leave with most of it untouched. My husband's burrito was bad as well. He took maybe 3 bites before we just left. I didn't even want to pay I thought this was such a rip-off. Don't waste your time, eat elsewhere or even just cook at home.

We all shared the giant cinnamon roll. It was more of a cinnamon sugar biscuit than a traditional cinnamon roll, but large enough for four of us to share. It was a little dry in some parts so definitely grab a spoonful of the glaze when you put it on your plate. The overall flavor was fine and I'm really glad I shared it with friends. I heard you could get one frozen to go and you just heated up at home just as good. For my sandwich, I ordered the Lola. It's a Buttermilk Biscuit Sandwich with Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Bacon, House Made Honey Butter + covered in Maple Syrup. Pro tip, have the maple syrup on the side or your hands will be very sticky when trying to eat it. The overall flavor of the biscuit, fried chicken, bacon, honey butter, and maple syrup was a really good combo! The biscuit was just a little more crumbly than I'm used to, so I struggled eating it as a whole sandwich. I would definitely get it again, but cut it up into bite-size pieces and eat it with my fork. There are a couple other really good options on the menu that I want to try so I'll definitely be back!

If you're looking for a spot that masters both aesthetic and flavor, this is it. ### **The Atmosphere** The interior is bright, airy, and beautifully designed. The minimalist wood accents, clean white tiling, and abundance of lush greenery create a refreshing, upscale vibe that's perfect for a weekend brunch or a quick, healthy lunch. It's the kind of space that immediately makes you feel good just walking in. ### **The Food & Drinks** The presentation is 10/10--the toasts are served on beautiful wooden boards with gold flatware, making the meal feel like a special occasion. * **Avocado Toast:** Loaded with fresh, creamy avocado and topped with vibrant watermelon radishes, tomatoes, and microgreens. The bread had the perfect crunch! * **Mediterranean-Style Toast:** This was a standout, featuring fresh tomatoes, feta, olives, and a squeeze of lemon.
