Space was pretty clean and decor was fun for the restaurant. This is a chain but the menu is not overwhelming. Staff was really friendly and recommended the coffee bar, which was a godsend in the morning. The biscuit sandwich is huge for the price but nothing too crazy. My goodness, what a meal this was. I loved The Franklin meal with its crispy and tender fried chicken, drenched in sausage gravy and the bitter sweet taste of crispy bacon. The biscuit was pretty tasty too! Very proportional and filling. Their coffee wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst, but this is coming from a coffee connoisseur. Customer service was splendid!! Our server was Haley and she was very kind and polite. She was happy to help and gave great advice on what to order along with sides. I have tried the chicken a few times, and I continue to be baffled by why it is almost inedible. The crust is so hard - it is almost impossible to chew which makes the chicken dry. Chicken sando is a pass - so much mayo doesn't help the overdone meat. OMG, what an incredible biscuit. Denver Biscuit ( part of the Atomic Cowboy family) is off the charts. This was our first time, and Rees walked us through the menu. I wish it were later in the day because they have a ton of good bourbon. I digress, back to the Franklin (spicey) and, of course, an over-easy egg. YUM. Nickel and dime customers with deceptive bait and switch practices. That is the impression I walk away with. The food itself was fine, but easily not worth the price. They put a $1 swipe fee on the bill and assume you will pay with credit card. They tell you that if you pay with cash, then they take off that fee. This fee is not advertised anywhere. They should just bake that into food cost, or at least be upfront about the fee. Also, credit card swipes rarely cost exactly $1. So what do they really do with that money? The proper thing to do would be to bake the cost into pricing, and then offer a discount for those who pay with cash. But they are probably too embarassed to bake it into pricing because prices are already too high. Want plain drip black coffee? That will be $4.50. Also set a minimum amount for being able to use credit card. I know this because I used to run a business where about half of the customers paid with credit card. Ok, let's actually talk about service and food. Service was unnecessarily slow. It was a good pace, if the restaurant were packed, but the restaurant was not packed. They sat us by the bar, and I just watched the servers talking and laughing and messing around while we were waiting to place an order. I had to flag down our server twice. As far as food goes, the hash browns looked like they came out of a frozen pack from Walmart and they were way over salted. The biscuits were too sweet. The syrup was that thick, fake, gooey stuff. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Bacon was nice, and fried chicken was alright. Sausage gravy was unique, in a good way, but only okay in raw deliciousness. Our table shared and thoroughly enjoyed a giant cinnamon roll biscuit, decked out in sprinkles and topped with an Easter marshmallow Peep! The food was fabulous!!! The cinnamon roll biscuit was the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, loaded with a delicious sweet, yet not TOO sweet goo! Our entrees were just as good! I had envisioned a nice juicy piece of chicken with bacon, and the chicken is barely a cutlet and impractically unedible. Went here for Father's Day brunch and it was great. Fast service and fun ambiance. The DIY coffee bar was neat with delicious coffee. Large portions all around. My sister and I split the Franklin Sandwich and the Biscuit French Toast. Their biscuits are delicious and all the elements of the sandwich were amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, the bacon was crispy and perfectly cooked, and the sausage gravy was bursting with flavor. The French toast biscuit was yummy with just the right amount of sweetness and the fruit compote that came with was a nice extra touch. Our table split their biscuit cinnamon roll as an appetizer which was interesting. Great flavor and a ton of delicious cream cheese icing but the cinnamon roll itself was super hard (stale or over cooked) on the outside so only the inside was edible. My husband also had another one of the biscuit sandwiches which he really enjoyed and I tried some of his Parmesan garlic waffle fries which were amazing. I didn't think it was possible, but somehow my second visit to Denver Biscuit Company topped the first. Different location, different meal, different drink -- and somehow, everything was even better. I ordered the Minona with a sunny-side-up egg and paired it with a seasonal pumpkin pie espresso martini that might just be the best brunch cocktail I've ever had. I actually found myself in a full-on conversation about opening a franchise back home in D.C. -- that's how good this place is. We ultimately agreed the only reason it wouldn't work is because we'd go too often. This place is the gold standard for brunch and lunch. The drinks are top-notch, the food is outrageously good, and the service is consistently fast and friendly. If they opened one near me, it'd instantly become my go-to Sunday brunch spot -- no hesitation. I've noticed they often share space with another restaurant, which just makes the menu options even better. We have been here twice now and both times have been great! I have had the biscuits and gravy then the Franklin sandwich. Both are just amazing! The gravy they use is so good and has tons of flavor not like some places where it just tastes like flour. The Franklin is just as amazing and you get a big piece of chicken on it but the biscuits are also huge. Their buffalo sauce is amazing too and tastes great. The service here is always fantastic and even on busy days they get your food to you quickly. I will day prepare to wait if you go on the weekend or at breakfast time because there is always a line out the door. It is so worth it though. I love the atmosphere in here as well and they have it very retro looking. I love coming here and will continue to do so! read more

So much YES for a spot that was desperately needed around here. Dare I say this is currently my favorite burger in the area?! I've been a few times now and just love it for so many reasons. The food is great, they have a full bar, awesome patio for when the sun is out, and they make it easy to get on the waitlist from home. I know it's Denver BISCUIT company, but I really really love the lights out burger. My husband and I like to share it along with an order of Sully's fries for a perfect brunch meal. Everything I've tried has been good though and the cinnamon roll is an extra special treat if you're looking for something on the sweeter side. I saw on my last visit that they now have pizza at this location which I've had at the other and will definitely be trying. It gets crowded so I would definitely look ahead for the waitlist via their website. If you get there early, you can sip on complimentary coffee while you wait. For other sips, I definitely recommend the spicy Bloody Mary if you're in the mood. If you're in need of a highchair, I recommend letting them know upon checking in, as not all of their tables can accommodate (they really pack in the tables to fit the crowd).
