Waffle Platter with Hashbrowns, Bacon, & Sunnyside-up eggs
    Edie A.

Early Bird is a unique eatery in the Inverness area--breakfast/brunch fare by day, Indian food (Monk's) by night. Locally owned, the service is super friendly, and the restaurant has a low-key atmosphere despite it getting busier as the day goes on. Bottomless mimosas are available for $18 with an entree and the juice of your choice. I decided to go with a more traditional route and tried the waffle/pancake platter: 1 waffle or 2 pancakes, 2 eggs any style, 3 pieces of meat, and a choice of hash browns or country potatoes. Our server suggested the waffle and hash browns, and those were great choices. The waffle & hash browns had the right amount of crispness on the outside. My sunnyside-up eggs were cooked how they should be, with enough yolk to ooze out and the whites cooked. A filling and delicious breakfast that will have me coming back to try the dinner menu.

Steak and eggs. Ordered over hard eggs and got over easy

It's tough to find a breakfast spot that truly wows you. Breakfast is one of those guilty pleasures--you don't always feel like cooking it yourself, so when you go out, you want something that really stands out. The menu here made it seem like that's exactly what I'd get, but I left a little disappointed. The setup is interesting: it's essentially two restaurants in one. They serve breakfast and brunch in the morning, then switch over to an Indian restaurant in the evenings. No complaints there--honestly, it's a smart use of the space. Even though it was late morning, there were open tables and we were seated quickly. Ordering was straightforward. We told them what we wanted, they asked how we wanted the steak and eggs cooked, all the usual stuff. The food took a bit longer than expected, and when it arrived, my over-hard eggs were actually over-easy, and the steak was more medium-rare than medium. It was a generous portion, so credit where it's due, but still not what I ordered. I'm not the type to send food back, so I ate it, but it was disappointing--especially since I was clear about how I wanted things cooked. Service was fine, though it felt like they might have been short-staffed. Nothing terrible, just not as attentive as it could have been. Overall, it just didn't deliver the wow factor I was hoping for. Maybe others will have a better experience, but for me, it missed the mark.

*Important information* - Early Bird is located within an Indian restaurant called Monks. It's 2 in 1! The signage outside is a little confusing. I promise, it's there! Ok on to the review. Wow! My first time in and I'm so glad I tried. The service was great, friendly and helpful. And the skillet I got was one of the best I've ever had, so so good. I would highly recommend and I will be back!

It looks like Early Bird Eatery is a brunch spot by day, then turns into Monk's Indian Grill by night. Nothing wrong with that, but it does bring some interesting scenery compared to your normal brunch spot: Logo and menu photos entirely made by AI. Sushi restaurant layout. Strictly unheard of covers of Top 40 hits playing overhead. Spanish music blaring from the kitchen. Japanese baseball from 2009 on TV. But with all that said, my omelette was still good and the service was great, so no complaints there! An interesting experience with a good outcome.

    Bagel sandwich

While ordering we want to change an English muffin for a bagel for a $3 charge. Really $3? That was off putting for our first time here. Moving on. We ordered and await our food. Bagel sandwich was delish. The avocados were perfect and the green cholula which I didn't know existed was the perfect topping. Service was good and it was clean. This is also an Indian food restaurant, Monks, after Early Bird closes.

The food was delicious & great portions! I built my own omelette & it. was so good that the cheese was so stringy! There was an unruly customer & the manager was able to calm the situation & get unruly customer out the door! Had a great experience & the atmosphere is very inviting. Next time I'm back in Denver, I'm definitely eating here again! Thank you for everything!

I found this breaky place through its sister restaurant the Monks Indian Fusion cuisine. (They are housed in same location) This visit was as a takeout. We got four entrees to try among us. Eggs Benedict classic with country potatoes (the sauce was so good). Steak and eggs with country potato's. Avocado toast with hash browns, and French toast with country potatoes. From the phone call to pick up the owner was involved. The experience was very good. The pick up time for food was as given. I went a few minutes early to pick up hoping I could get the Marsala tea that's on the Chinese/Indian menu that I had a couple of days ago. I was able to get the tea and sit at the bar briefly to observe the restaurant for breakfast. The ambiance was as expected for a breakfast brunch time frame. I saw the owner engage other customers and they raved of their visit. Love that! The owner then brought my order. He remembered me from dinner visit and addressed me by name. I love places like this excellent service with pride for it. I recommend and will make both of the restaurants a go-to. You can see my review for the Monks on my profile.

Dirty dishes sitting on a table next to us for 40 minutes

First off, we went for Mother's Day so it was busier than expected, but what a terrible dinning experience. The whole operations was probably the poorest run restaurant I've ever visited. Upon arrival we were told the wait was 15-20 minutes, but waited close to 50 minutes. The whole time we waited there were numerous tables with dirty dishes sitting on them. We had to spend our entire meal (40 minutes) with a table of dirty dishes sitting next to us!!! So gross. No one even seemed to care or take pride in helping turn tables. The hospitality was not great either. The food was not worth the wait. Think dennys or another chain/fast service breakfast. The menu looks like they were printed online from another restaurant with generic images...so it was hard to tell what was worth getting.

We walked into this place and we were the only ones, we almost walked back out. I am SO glad we didn't! They joked right away that we just missed the crowd and made us feel totally comfortable. Not only was the waitress amazing but food was fast and delish! I will recommend this place to all my Denver friends. Don't miss out on this little gem!

I was hoping the small coffee would be free with purchase of bag, but I guess it wasn't. The bag of coffee wasn't cheap, so I was disappointed in how over-roasted the beans were. Adjusting grind levels and water temperature, there was always a bitterness or too watered down. The other flavors present in the beans, however, we're quite nice. I was hoping that they would have real kona coffee, but unfortunately their supplier suffered from disaster in Hawaii. Not going to blame them for that, but objectively speaking, if a Hawaiian coffee shop doesn't have Hawaiian coffee, then I am sad about it. At the same time, due to the circumstances, there is a compelling reason to throw some more support behind them.

My 12-year-old son has recently gotten into Dungeons & Dragons, and for his birthday we reserved a table here knowing that Enchanted Grounds welcomes tabletop RPGs. I'll admit, I was a little hesitant about leaving my son and four of his friends somewhere new on their own for nearly four hours. Any concerns disappeared almost immediately. One staff member in particular, Paul, went above and beyond. The boys would not stop saying, "Paul is the GOAT." He checked in on them throughout their entire time there, helped them out whenever they needed it, and genuinely made them feel welcome. More importantly, he made me feel completely at ease as a parent. It's rare to find a business that not only creates a fun, inclusive space for kids but also earns the trust of parents so effortlessly. Enchanted Grounds Highlands Ranch has my respect and admiration. Thank you for giving my son one of the best birthday experiences he's ever had. We'll definitely be back.

Just wanted a place to work on my computer, and ultimately that's what I got. Enchanted Grounds is a cafe and game emporium. Like for real, they have such a huge selection of games. If you are into that, I truly love that for you! As far as the cafe is concerned, the best part was not paying Denver coffee prices! Only a few bucks for an iced coffee, god bless America. The staff weren't all that friendly or interested in talking to customers. It definitely gives off humble, rainy day coffeehouse vibes and that's not a bad thing. Bright, tacky colored walls, one guy was sleeping in one of the booths, a giant group of 80+ year olds at the big community table, and gamers galore on a Wednesday afternoon. It's low key, wifi was fine, coffee was fine. Nothing stood out for me personally. Considering it's close to an hour away odds of me coming back aren't high. I wish them the best!
