I have not used this company yet the rental house next to me had a tree removed, when they arrived in the truck the completely blocked my whole driveway which is illegal, I called the number on the truck and told them they need to move it. They did, after the work was done I see that my part of my yard/driveway and front yard is covered in saw dust, now some may not care and it will "blow away" this isn't professional not to have a blower to clean up THEIR mess. No I didn't use their service but with a bad back i cannot go "blow it away" myself. Common courtesy to clean up after YOUR job. I do not care that the homeowner hired them, the workers should've cleaned up their mess on others property. I had to cut a tree down on my side and you bet I made sure everything was cleaned up on their side. Very unprofessional IMHO. read more

Roger was great! Trimmed a large Maple and came back a second day when I wanted more trimmed out of it. That was almost two years ago and the tree still looks great. read more

Horrible company, when they cut the big limbs off they decided to drag it down the roof. Which tore several shingles up and off. After a week of them ignoring our calls we finally managed to get someone to say they were going to come out and take a look to which they never showed up and went back to ignoring our calls. In May, we had Roger Escobar, owner of Monkey on the Tree and his crew, expertly and quickly remove a 30+ ft Apple tree that was 1/2 dead (split down the center). They were on time, professional and very conscious of not tearing up my existing landscaping without me even having to ask. They cut the limbs down one by one for mulch, cut the base into firewood and stacked it in my backyard as well as ground the stump so we could plant a new tree. Roger also alerted me to some issues with another tree on our property and suggested we have an arborist come out for a look, which we scheduled promptly. We hired Escobar Tree Service to remove trees from our back yard. They did remove the trees, but damaged the brand new vinyl siding on our house. The crew did not mention the damage to us. We found the damage after returning home from work. We contacted Roger Escobar. He assured us he would pay for the damages. The estimate for damages is only $250. Roger Escobar has promised multiple times that he would send a check for the repairs. We did send him the estimate for repairs from National Home Improvement, Inc. Roger Escobar has not honored his word. We must now pay for the repairs ourselves, as the estimate expires in a few days. We have filed a complaint with the Denver Better Business Bureau. read more

I've been using Mr.Escobar for 5+yrs as of 6/2/2018 Which was my most recent..He has cut several trees around my home. As well as pruned them,and simply cleaned them up.And we have hade him remove stumps as well over the years.His price is competitive and he is very reliable and simply does nice work..my last apt..recently my two boar trees needed cleaned up underneath and thinned and I asked for them to be shaped once again his workers did just that. We had a 60' Cottonwood come down on our house during a windstorm. Myself and my neighbor whoms tree it was spent 2 hours each on the phone calling around for someone that would come out on a Saturday to do it. Late in the afternoon on a wekend we got a hold of Mr. Escobar. He drove out with his crew and worked into the dusk removing the tree. This was not an easy job. The tree was in the back yard with little room to get a picker -- but he managed to get back there with the picker and carefully removed the tree -- causing no additional damage to the house. While my neighbor paid the bill for the removal, Mr. Escobars pricing was nearly $1000 less than I got from other companies -- and the competition would not be out until sometime later in the week. We have a lot of large trees in both our yard and our neighbors -- and I know that my trees are due a trimming in the spring. I will be calling Mr. Escobar to handle the job! read more

Mr Escobar trimmed our 50ft cottonwood and removed two aspens for half the price we were quoted for just the trim. He was fast, efficient and cleaned up so well, you'd have barely known he'd been there. He also came two days after I called, when others were quoting 6-8 weeks. We had Escobar trim and cut down trees in our from and back yard. They completed the work and we were pretty satisfied with the work done. A couple of major exceptions. First, they destroyed a light fixture in the front yard and failed to mention the damage. And second, they cut our internet line in the back yard. Instead of telling us, he pulled it off the house and where it was connected at the pedestal as if we wouldn't notice. If you like a good price without regard for your property, hire them. read more

In October, 2017, we had Monkey on the Tree (Roger Escobar) remove a limb from a tree in our back yard that had broke due to the snow/wind and was hanging over our house. Mr. Escobar came to our house and gave us a verbal estimate of $250. (my bad I should have gotten a written estimate). His crew was on site about three hours later and removed the broken limb - and did a good job, including clean up. The crew chief asked for payment and asked how much Mr. Escobar had quoted. We told him it was $250. and gave him a check. The crew chief returned to the door and said Mr. Escobar told him it was $350. We were shocked but paid. We then called Mr. Escobar the next day and expressed our displeasure with this situation and he said he would be by in a couple of hours and return the additional $100. so we would not be mad at him. Needless to say we have never heard from him again. If you use these people be sure to get a written estimate and inspect all of their work before you pay a cent. read more
