This cafe is super super cute. This is the exact type of cafe I look for when I want to get work done. The interior is decorated really rustic and they play chill music. The baristas were also super nice. I got a cappuccino, a pot of tea, and a Portuguese egg tart. Great coffee and they have a decent tea selection. The Portuguese egg tart was really custardy. It didn't taste like the ones I usually get in New York but I still enjoyed it. Wish I lived in the area because I'd come here all the time.

Just tried their cauliflower croquete! So crazy delicious! The place is awesome to get good food and work: great internet connection, super comfy, good natural light coming in and power outlets close to you. And the staff is THE BEST!

Not quite moved on but I'm loving the vibe

I absolutely loved the feel of this coffee shop, the owner personally greeted us and we enjoyed a quick cup of coffee before hitting the streets. I highly recommend this place if you are finishing a breakfast at Mooks. A must try and soon they will be roasting their own blends!!

Very warm, artsy environment. The coffee tasted good and customer service was fantastic. The smoked chicken and avocado sandwich was worth the 7.50€. This location tries to establish a good environment for conversation, so don't expect a working environment. Free wifi. I wish it were open for longer hours. I may come back, perhaps earlier in the day!

Love the vibe here and got a nice strong latte. Music, people, all of it. I think they're getting a kitchen soon. Game ON.

While it functions as a cozy, traditional Dutch brown café, virtually everyone comes here for one main reason: the famous Dutch apple pie (*appeltaart*). It completely lives up to the reputation. Served warm with a massive dollop of fresh whipped cream, it's thick, perfectly spiced, and has an almost cake-like crust that sets it apart. Pairing a slice with a fresh mint tea is pretty much mandatory. Because of its status and location, it's almost always buzzing with people--especially on market days--but the staff manages the perpetual queue remarkably fast. Snagging a table on the outdoor terrace for some people-watching along the canal is hard to beat. Whether you're taking visitors around the neighborhood or just out exploring the Jordaan.

I'd say about 95% of the people were ordering the apple pie, so of course we had to get one to see what the hype was about. The apple pie is pretty unique, it's basically a big chunk of cooked apple topped with a sweet, crumbly cookie like crust. The flavor reminded me of those little brown biscuits you get as airplane snacks... basically Biscoff cookies. lol!!! Overall, you really taste the natural apple flavor along with that Biscoff like cookie flavor. The pie itself isn't very sweet, which I actually liked, but adding some whipped cream definitely brings up the sweetness and makes it even better. The setup is pretty straightforward: get in line, order and pay, pick up your food, then find your own seat. It's definitely a popular spot, so be prepared for the crowd and a bit of a wait.

So here I am, wanting to sit on their big terrace which is unfortunately a bit drizzled on by rain, I will sit inside, window side. I like the place. Looking from the outside in, the place doesn't draw you in though. Once sitting inside it looks nice, styled and clean. Except from the cobweb on the window-sill. Makes me suddenly wonder what bugs are hiding in the fur, stylishly draped over some of the chairs. I'm squeamish for bugs. Luckily easy distracted, so i'm leaning back against it while ordering my cuppa joe. I'm ordering my espresso macchiato, which taste is good but not as scalding hot as i like it to be. And as that was gone in a split second, I'm having a soup, to warm me up (and/or prolong the stalling) It's a chunky tomato soup with bell pepper. I am not a big fan of soup, but a great executed soup i can truly appreciate. So I do. The young staff is friendly but the boy seems nervous. On his "did you enjoy your soup" I have to suppress the need to yell "NO". Not because i dislike him, he seems sweet, but just to see his reaction. I am weird that way. The place oozes tranquility, a perfect place to relax and have a cuppa joe. Too quiet for a Saturday afternoon me thinks. Curious to find out how the atmosphere is during dinner time. Until then! :)
