We didn't rent a car so I can't comment on parking, but everything you want to see, like the Colosseum, is just a short walk from the hotel or you can take a cab. The staff were wonderful with helpful suggestions from the front desk to the amazing breakfast buffet staff that always gave us a very warm "buongiorno" when we came in. After a few days the server didn't need to ask anymore he just brought me a cappuccino when I sat down. That is probably the biggest breakfast buffets I have ever seen. The two pictures don't fully capture it all. I really liked this hotel and would be back if I am ever in Rome again.

The room was clean and modern with a fully stocked, complimentary mini bar. Loved the bathroom, the bar upstairs and the breakfast buffet and coffee with Salvatore was a great start to each day. The downstairs spa was a bit small, but enjoyable nonetheless, with steam room, sauna, and simple hydrotherapy stations. All in all this was the best accommodations we had our entire 10 day trip throughout Italy. Will gladly stay here again! The staff, service, location, amenities and facility were all stellar!

I'm spacing on the hotel's former Am. brand. Once you get to the floors it is evident that either this hotel it not new or it is still under construction. Honestly the hotel should have delayed opening until they finished repairs. It looks bad and makes you frustrated that you paid top dollar for a 1/2 done hotel. The hotel is convenient to the train stop and I wish we had known because we would of taken the train from the airport (instead of being scammed by the taxi drivers to bring our small group). We did ride the train everywhere else since the stop is right outside the hotel. Very convenient. We did not purchase the breakfast package but had breakfast upon our arrival the first day. It was 20$ euros and was NOT worth it. Find somewhere else to eat and thank me later. Now for the positive, the front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. We received an amazing dinner recommendation for a restaurant down the street and around the corner. The BEST seafood! Along with the recommendation, she called to ensure the restaurant was accessible to a mobility scooter (there was a small step but the owner was at the door waiting on us to help lift our mobility scooter). Overall, the hotel was sufficient for 1 night but honestly cost wise not worth it at over $300 (US) a night.

Check-in and checkout were seamless. The location was great. The metro stop was steps from the front door and we took it first thing in the morning to the Vatican and then were able to walk back through all the main Roman sites back to the hotel over the course of a long day. On our final day it was a quick one stop metro ride over to the Rome Termini train station. Overall, I would stay here again as we didn't have any issues and it was a considerably better deal than many other hotels a bit closer to the main sites.

The room is clean with tile floors and a comfortable bed. Bathroom is ok as well where shower and bathroom in general is also a tad smaller than equivalent US rooms. It also has separate A/C units in rooms that cool the room fine and windows that open allowing fresh air which is a big plus. Lastly the rooms have a mini fridge with inclusive water, juice, and snacks which is nice where fresh bread and pastries are delivered to your room at 7am each day that constitutes the inclusive European style continental breakfast. The big plus for this hotel though its location where you are walking distance to many of the historic sites in Rome to include the Colosseum and the Forum. NICE! its about a 15 minute walk to these sites and great restaurants and shopping are all around offering you many options for dining and keeping your self busy. Location and a good room is hard to beat in my book and next time I am in Rome I will definatly be staying here again!

We had a good check in experience and our room was clean and felt big compared to other European inns we've stayed at. We chose this location because of its walkability to the train, which made it easy for us to arrive with our luggage without needing a cab.

The ehhh, walls are super thin so you can heat your neighbors especially from the bathroom. This used to be some boutique hotel so the way to navigate to your room is squirrelly--so ask for help carrying luggage up the stairs as the lift does not go to the 1st floor. Was reasonably priced, clean with modern features. SPECIAL NOTE: most hotels in Italy DO NOT have face towels--so I recommend bringing the disposable ones if you need to them like I do....

When we checked in we noticed a bad smell in the room which we reported to the reception. When we returned after touring Rome for the afternoon, we identified the smell as sewer gas near the bed (we were in. Jr king suite on the first floor - which they noted they upgraded us to as we later found hot the hotel was fully booked). The porter came to the room twice, once to spray bleach / detergent in the shower and second to bring a fan, and suggested we open the windows and he didn't think we would die from methane gas (it was 96 degrees in Rome at the time and out the windows there was mechanical equipment and vent pipes generating more heat in some sort of terrace - it's also important to note that if you haven't been to italy, a lot of the hotels regulate the limit on the AC to 72 degrees as a minimum set point). We couldn't sleep a wink the first night because of the smell and booked another hilton for the following night at 2am. We left early the next morning to make our scheduled Vatican tour. When returned to get our things, they told us they resolved the issue, which they hadn't upon retrieving our things from the room. On the way out we told them it wasn't resolved and they offered to move us to another room, which by that point was too late. We stayed at a different Hilton (I think it was the double tree or something) the second night which was a much more comfortable stay. The right thing for the Cosmopolita to do at a minimum was to refund one of our scheduled nights. Afterwards, Their "management" refused a refund or even acknowledging our issue citing they resolved the issue after left, offered to move us to another room as we were leaving, and our stay was non refundable. This place and the management is a is not the standards you would expect from a Hilton property, which we later found out they're privately owned. The Cosmopolita tarnished our stay and perception in Rome and we would recommend that you think twice before staying here... until you see a post "under new management". Hopefully this review is helpful to some considering this place over the other Hilton options in Rome.
