Our first time camping, we drove about 2 1/2 hours to Monroe Canyon RV park. We loved it! Jordan who runs the place is amazing! The campground is very clean with beautiful views! They have water and electric hook ups, cute farm animals, game/corn hole, super clean bathrooms/shower and a garden (we could pick veggies and get fresh eggs). We will be back. Plus they do quite a business with their fresh ice cream!

Forgive me for not remembering the gentleman's name- We did not make a reservation and needed a place to setup for the night. When we called to check availability and the gentleman was very welcoming and accommodating. ***Very friendly and helpful staff- new park- very clean, spacious, great price and beautiful mountain views. Highly recommend, we will definitely return when we visit this area again. We had the opportunity to make a friend-- thank you for having us!! Best of luck and May God Bless you.

This RV park is a true gem and slightly off the beaten path. The facility is brand new and they have the cleanest, most updated bathrooms, showers, and laundry room we have seen. We felt very safe here. Jordan and his Mom were so welcoming, as were all those who stayed here or came for the delicious ice cream made by BYU. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this RV park because it's already amazing. We hear they are planning on a petting zoo in the future. We will be back!

Owner was very respectful and nice. Out of all the places we stayed on the way from Vegas to Colorado. This spot is by far the best.

Great place for an atv to access the trails, yet close enough to restaurants and Walmart in nearby Richfield.

We grabbed lunch here as we passed through one of the mountain trails. We had burgers and the pastrami sandwich. To order you take one of the menus and a pen and circle everything you want. It was really efficient because ordering didn't tie up a worker and one of the registers. I had the pastrami and decided to deviate from the standard 1000 island dressing. I got pickles and mustard with tots. It was just yellow mustard, and although a Dijon or fancier mustard might have made it pop a little more, it was still very impressive considering being out in the middle of Utah all by itself. The sourdough was perfectly toasted and buttery and the pastrami was well done as well. Tots were done to perfect crispness too! The burgers were equally good, my buddies got the double cheeseburger and had no complaints. The fries weren't quite as crispy as the tots. The 2 girls behind the counter had big smiles, and were extremely friendly and accommodating. There were 3-4 indoor tables, some seating outside, but we walked behind the store to the campground to enjoy our meal under one of the shaded picnic tables. The portions were large; almost too large. I should not have finished both halves of the overstuffed pastrami, but I did because it was just so tasty. All in all, very pleasant experience.

The camp layout is interesting; it's set up as a lot of back-ins, which is all you'll see if you try to book online. I ended up calling instead since we were pretty close and since they weren't full, Thelma set us up as a pull-through spanning 2 sites. The only drawback and reason for 4 stars is the entire park gently slopes. You enter driving down hill and the hill just kind of keeps going through to the back of the park. We had a really hard time getting our travel trailer level in the gravel and eventually gave up and just settled with being a bit off kilter for the night. As far as the facilities, on the plus side they are definitely new and pretty clean. As an update to some of the previous reviews: the fitness center is set up and the game room is now open, with a pool table and TV. They may get shuffleboard soon. The club house is large with a full kitchen available to all guests. There is a laundry room with 3 sets of machines. One set was out of order but we used the other two and they worked great; decent size and everything dried without needing extra time. Note that the laundry is coin operated, quarters only, but there is no machine to convert bills to change; I was able to buy $5 worth of quarters from Thelma though. The showers are decent, but lacking shelving or benches or anywhere convenient to place your towel, clothes, etc. There's only one hook attached to the back of the door by an adhesive strip, which I didn't trust to hold my fold-out toiletry bag, and was too far away from the shower to put my towel, so I got creative with using the toilet seat and the accessibility handle bars. Overall, it's a new, clean, welcoming park, but there are definitely opportunities for improvement.

The fire ban had us camping indoors but we still rode the trials every day. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The facility was clean and well kept. While the showers are a $1.00 in quarters the timer is generous and we never had to pay twice. Four days into our trip we had a roll over accident on the Rocky Ford Trail. Rescue teams for two counties, Lifeflight Helicopter, it was a big show. The next day Milo told us he would help recover the machine. Milo has just sold L&C's to his son. The man was retired, but he took on the job of helping get our friends machine out of the gully and off the mountain. When we first talked with Milo and he agreed to help us, he said "Know you know this is going to be expensive?" In the end it didn't seem to be, at least to us. Milo and a friend worked with us for over 10 hours to retrieve that machine. The amount he charged was far less than we expected. He was a decent man that helped do a dangerous job for a reasonable price. This was our second year on the Paiute Trail System. I don't know if we will be returning, but if we do we will stay here again. B. Thompson
