I booked for the service with the most amount of time to be considerate of what they would need to do. The violet I had in there was the only color I had, and it was professional color. I am incredibly disappointed a dissatisfied and would not trust them to do my hair again. The foil work did not go to the root, nor did they bother toning to try and make it blend. I have never had a worse experience and would not recommend Freedom Beauty Salon.

She used an antiseptic first, then some powder and then wax. And then repeated the same in reverse order after she finished waxing me. Very quick and not too painful. It's a small little place but has the usual salon services at the usual prices. In case you find it difficult finding the salon, it's on the 2nd floor of a building that has a better store on the first floor. There is paid metered parking outside the salon. If you don't find enough information online you can leave her a voicemail. She responds pretty quickly. Do try this place out. She's really sweet :)

Jamie knows what she's doing, very well obviously, so right away that makes you relax. Then she just has a very calm and easy going demeanor, and easy to talk to. She was quick and efficient and I was finished and on my way before I knew it and extremely happy with my results. She's also very reasonable in her prices unlike sometimes overpriced spas for the same results and experience. Definitely try Jamie.

The room was calming and comfortable. It smelled wonderful and the heated table was a lovely surprise. I initially went for the "Express Skin Treatment" but when my 45 minutes was up, there was no way I was getting off that table! Jamie graciously and easily continued my treatment (haha, awesome) into what is called the "Customized Skin Treatment.' Heaven the whole time...I'm still sighing from it. Before I left, I purchased some of the products she used from a line called "Dermalogica" and have been using them every since I left. My skin continues to feel silky and healthy. Counting down the days when I can visit again!

The reason for three stars though was I wound up with a huge burn mark on part of my Brazilian area. It was so painful the first night I couldn't walk or lay comfortably and I actually teared up cause it was hurting. I'm hoping this was a one time thing and will be keeping my upcoming appointment. If it happens again though I may have to find a new salon for my Brazilian. UPDATE So since then the company has since reached out and actually provided me with a free Brazilian and apologized for everything as what had happened was not apart of a normal Brazilian wax. My second wax went so much better and there was hardly any pain when she did it. I would definitely recommend going back and I myself will be returning in the future. Great friendly staff!

My eyebrows were long overdue for a touch up. I haven't waxed them in years as I have been having them threaded in New York for a long time now. I quickly realized threading services certainly aren't as common in NH/ME so I started looking for viable waxing services and that's what led me to Aviva. Alisha was so warm and accommodating immediately, and the space is beautiful, clean and calming. Alisha and I chatted throughout my waxing and she's incredibly friendly, interesting and kind while not getting distracted from giving me truly impeccable eyebrows. She was gentle and meticulous and made sure I knew what she was doing and was ok with the direction she was taking with shaping my brows the entire time, which I really appreciated. I have naturally very thick dark eyebrows and they really do make such a difference on my face depending on the shape so I'm particular. Everything was perfect, virtually pain free. I will definitely come back here anytime I'm in the area and will absolutely be recommending to all of my friends nearby. Now in her own space at Alainn, she's created such a lovely, warm and welcoming place to come and be pampered. I always get there early and relax for a few minutes in the waiting area with a cup tea. Her services are reasonably priced and she always goes above and beyond to make it well worth the cost. She's thorough and informative and clearly has a vested interest in her clients' overall well-being beyond just the work that she does. She has helped me learn how to better care for my own skin and is always willing to give tips and tricks so even if you can't go regularly you can take away the tools to pamper your skin at home! I live in LA and wait for months to have the chance to come home, visit my family, and go see Meghan! And it's always well worth the wait!!

But my moustache was beginning to look like Fu Man Chu, so I realized that I really needed to get it waxed. She did my brows and got rid of a couple of growths that just spontaneously like to sprout on my face (I could never be a man). I've only gotten my moustache waxed about 4 times in my lifetime and can't say it's fun, but I will credit Meghan with doing everything possible to stem the pain. Meghan is cordial, efficient, has a sense of humor, and she is a perfectionist. My lip broke out afterwards, but, apparently, this is common. The bumps did go away within a week or so. I do feel cleaner, and it actually enhanced my features, giving me a smooth look. I rarely wear makeup but my lipstick did look better. I'll be going back routinely.
