She set us up with an appointment and that didn't have to wait weeks. When we arrived at the office, we were greeted very warmly. Dr. Shriver was great at explaining what the tests were and why they were important. She happily answered our many questions. A few days later, Mom was fitted for hearing aids. Again Dr. Shriver was excellent at explaining everything we needed to know. She took time to listen to our questions and concerns and answered them in a manner that was easy to understand. I highly recommend Covington Hearing Associates. We also found that the cost was much gentler on the budget.

That is unusual and goes against their stated insurance policy: We will bill your health insurer for services you received at your visit. These services include a consultation, plus (if needed after discussion with you) additional procedures such as a nasal endoscopy or a laryngoscopy. You may have a copay and/or deductible, which is payable at the time of your visit. Some insurers do not cover any services unless your deductible is met. Each insurer has its own fee schedule for services that its members receive from in-network doctors. After your insurer processes the claim for your visit, you will be sent a bill for the amount (if any) that your insurer determines is your responsibility. Any amounts you had paid at the time of your visit will be credited against your final bill.

As I could no longer get an appointment with Dr. Lawson, I've returned to Athens Family Vision and recently had an appointment with Dr. Patel. She is also an excellent optometrist, and responded very well to a couple of my concerns. She is thorough, knowledgeable, and very kind in her manner. We put this place through the ringer with several custom made aids, then finally finding something she could manage and do on her own. They were patient and invested quite a bit of time to make sure she was satisfied. Joey and his family have given their all and showed great passion in ensuring her ability to adjust, which has been a task. With other health issues, she is now in a pair of aids that are really the only design she can manage, easier for her to put in and out, and rechargeable so charging is easier and she does not have to remember to change batteries, or listen for the signal.
