Wife has a flat tire. We're brand new to town. Zero local connections. Panic level: catastrophic. So I start calling mechanic shops around town. Most of them treated my situation like I had interrupted the last 30 seconds of the Super Bowl. "Yeahhhh we're about to close." Cool. Outstanding. Appreciate the tremendous support. Then I called Parker Tire & Alignment. And Colin answered. Brother... this man didn't sound annoyed. He didn't sound rushed. He sounded like a first responder arriving at the scene of an automotive natural disaster. I'm convinced alarms started going off in the shop the second I explained the situation. "Woman stranded." "Friday tire emergency." "Deploy Colin immediately." With less than an hour before closing on a Friday, he treated us like we were lifelong customers instead of an inconvenience standing between him and the weekend. They kept my car for about a week, and during that time I had to spend a significant amount of money on Ubers and Lyfts because I had no vehicle. I was repeatedly told they were waiting on a part that hadn't arrived. Eventually, they called to say my car was finished. I paid approximately $2,000 and was waiting for them to bring my car around. After about 20 minutes, they came back and told me they actually needed to order another part but I could drive my car for now. The check engine light was still on. It took about another week for that part to arrive. Then I was told it would cost around another $2,000. At that point, I tried to work out some kind of solution or discount with them because of everything that happened. As of the time I'm writing this review, I have not received a response despite attempts to follow up. What disappointed me most was the communication throughout the process. Being told my car was finished, paying for the repair, and then finding out more repair parts were needed. Combined with the delays, additional transportation costs, and the lack of follow-up afterward, this was not the level of service I expected. This review reflects my personal experience. I hope the shop is able to improve its communication and customer service going forward.
