I ordered my first ever gaming PC from Monsoon (Terra + 9800X3D + 7900 XTX), and I've gotta say, I am extremely impressed. Besides the PC working like a dream, there are a lot of great points about Monsoon PCs and the people who work there. For starters the customer service is top notch. My PC had to be delayed due to a lack of 7900 XTXs (probably because of the tariffs), and the people over at Monsoon contacted me immediately, and stayed in contact with me, giving me regular updates on the situation. To help solve the issue, Monsoon shipped my PC over early with a loaner GPU (4060 ti) so I could use my PC until they got more inventory. And once a 7900 XTX was available, they shipped it immediately while also paying for the return label for the loaner GPU. They also offered video call assistance to help me swap my GPUs and get my PC up and running. They always made time to help answer any questions I had, through email, text and call, whatever worked best for me. And if you ever have any questions about what parts you'd like to add, or what might be worth adding to your PC, all you need to do is call Monsoon and the people there will answer any and all questions you have. My experience with Monsoon is by far the worst experience I've had with any computer company. I've run an online business for almost 10 years and worked with a lot of computer technicians. Avoid this one, I promise you. My computer crashed due to a hard drive issue, although it was never discovered why or what I could do to prevent this in the future. This was obvious when bringing it in. I called beforehand and was told by the lady that a diagnosis and fee would be given to me (by phone) in 24 hours, 48 max. I dropped it off on a Wednesday morning. Friday afternoon rolls around and there's no call. So I call and the guy told me they were still working on it. He said he knew it was a hard drive issue and quoted me a rate at around $350. I found that steep but I wanted to wait for the call at the end of the day (Friday) for the final price. Weekend goes by and nothing. I make a comment on FB and the person responding told me they called me -- they didn't. At the end of Monday I get a call and the price is now $475 and that's with a discount (so they say). Now, the HP desktop can be bought for $700. I've had it for a little over a year. So for about $200 more I can buy a new one. However, I had some really important files on my computer, namely Adobe movie files. Before paying a penny, I needed to know if those files were on the computer. I was told if I come in the next day I could check. This is from the gentleman I was speaking to. I come in and the woman is there. She wouldn't let me see the hard drive they cloned. But she told me that there were 2 video files saved by Adobe in 2018. I didn't even own Adobe then, so how was that possible?. So I said screw it, still had to pay the diagnosis fee and she said she couldn't print me a receipt. I get a call and fb message from the manager asking what had changed with my decision. He went on to tell me that it's a good thing this happened (I still have the voicemail) because it shows there still needs to be more training for his employees. A good thing for whom? Not me! He told me to come in and look at the files, in which they were saved and my movie files were on there. I do appreciate the fact they took care of everything on my hard drive. That was the most important thing to them, and they were able to recover those. After the initial communication issue, he was good at calling and FB message (however, none of that matters at this point) I told him for now I'd pay to get those on a hard drive. But with the service fee and buying a hard drive from them, it didn't make sense to pay that much. So 4 days later I took the computer in to have it serviced ($475). I was pleased with how fast they worked on it. That is, until I got home and heard a horrible noise (coming from the "new" hard drive). Oh, and I didn't get a receipt for the $475 of services done. I called and his resposne" maybe something was knocked loose?" By whom? Not me! I bring it in and he confirms it's the hard drive. My question is, why was this not addressed before giving to me? Why would he not turn the computer on for me to confirm it was fixed? So he ordered a new hard drive from the same company. It took about 4 days (so I had no computer). I bring it in, I was pleased with how quickly they got everything over, took it home, and the noise was still bad. It wasn't as bad, but it was still there. So they said they'd order from a new company. Now here's the kicker. So I have this loud computer for like 5 days, finally the new one comes in. I was not able to drop it off or pick it up, so my girlfriend did. He told her that the noise was gone, just a little, although he didn't allow her to turn the computer on. Then he says that if I wanted a hard drive that was "silent" that hard drive would cost over $300. So let me get this straight? My computer never made noises before, hard drive crashes, and to get my computer back to how it was, all of this would cost close to $800? That's more than buying the same desktop -- new! The hard drive is actually louder than the first one. It sounds like the old dial-up internet with AOL when someone was on the phone. My company I do podcasts and edit video. It's so bad that I now have to do this off my laptop. The noise picks up. I have to put headphones on when I browse the web, it's that bad. Furthermore, he said the hard drive has a 3 year warranty. But I don't even know who the manufacturer is? I have no information on it.... no number, site, email... After paying close to $500, being without a working computer for nearly 3 weeks (which cost me money b/c I work off that computer), I'm out closer to 1K, with a computer that is so loud, you can hear it from the next room. Truth is, Sierra Vista doesn't have many options. However, I spoke to someone who's company used to outsource them and stopped b/c of their lack of skill. They gave me a name of someone else here in town who doesn't charge a diagnosis fee. I read more

These guys are awesome I have used them several time over the years. Prices are reasonable. They will let you know if they think it's worth saving or starting over. I have an envy that the hinges broke on and once the parts came in they had it fixed in 20 min. You do have to pay ahead if they order the parts. Thanks guys see you in the future. read more

Proof that these guys are scammers. They paid for an add campaign so that the negative reviews would be removed. Then they say that they tried to make things right when they didn't. I have receipt still to this day. And very poor excuse for a business. If they are willing to pay to have bad reviews removed. That just shows you what type of service they provide and how honest they are about it. Lol what a joke. Look at the previous comments. I have a photo of him admitting that they paid for an ad to yelp so that my bad review would be deleted. Once again monsoon PC I encourage you to call me directly so that we can settle this matter and I will be happy to remove my negative feedback once you make the situation right. As I asked in the beginning to do so. When I ask you to make things right you told me that you will not be threatened. I told you that unless you make things right I will be sure to let everybody know about your terrible customer service. It's simple, if you don't act as a reputable company then you will not get good reviews. Customer service is making sure that your customers taken care of and satisfied. I hope by now that you've implemented a process within your business where your employees communicate with each other and don't destroy people's computers. I have been to Monsoon for a few issues and I've been totally satisfied each time. The first time I had a laptop that was six years old and it acted as if it had a virus. When I got it back, it was faster than my husband's two year old laptop! I purchased a new laptop last month and I took the old one in to transfer the data and everything was done quick and no data was lost.
