The concept is very interactive and fun--60 minutes was the perfect amount of time to explore without feeling rushed or burned out. Lockers with keys were provided, which was convenient. I understand why drinks may not be available inside given the tech and setup, but that's the only small improvement I'd note. A couple rooms had a slight odor issue, but nothing that took away from the experience. The are celebrating five years in business this week and noticing this on Facebook and wanting to check it out for a while now, we decided to pop on by. We arrived at 4:30p and were charged $19.50/pp and given a wrist band. Thought the price was a bit hefty due to the time of day, but if we were feeding the machines quarters, we probably would have spent more. The pricing is not bad if you think about it. Seems like they had a little bit of everything game wise, shocked that there wasn't a Pac-Man, but they did have Ms. Pac-Man, Asteroids, Missile Command, Mortal Combat and tons of pinball machines. We stayed for about an hour and half, had a few drinks (which were lovely) and had some stale popcorn (which is free all day). Met the owner "Bug", super nice fellow. We get there and everything is seemingly fine. The vibes are good and the waiters are taking orders diligently. We understand that this is a huge group (16 of us) and that we would have to be patient with them as they are with us. So everyone puts in there orders. First wave comes out... I noticed that all the food is cold. Not ideal but the food was good so whatever. Second wave comes out, again the food is cold and peoples orders are missing. Fine. We are a big group, it happens. 3rd wave comes and they are seemingly trying to land the plane with us, finalizing anything that may have been missed while also getting refills. One of my friends that was a part of that first wave was still waiting his burger that he ordered (he had informed them twice at this point). 45 mins later the waiter checks on us again... My friend still doesn't have his burger. Cool AGAIN this is a big group... It happens. My side of the table who got all their food are ready to play some games now. We go to the front counter and there is seemingly a good cop/bad cop routine going on. One host says we can rent a station the other says we can't unless all 16 of go to that station. I told him not everyone wants to play games so what if we just cash out now then the 4 of us that do can just play/sit at the station. "YOU CAN'T DO THAT ITS AGAINST THE POLICIES" O....kay... whatever don't take my money, I then tell him I'd like to cash out anyway. "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" I can't pay you now? "THE TAB CAN ONLY BE SPLIT 5 WAYS" Huh? So not only was this not brought to our attention beforehand but you want to be a jerk about it? There reason was because some people run out on the bill and things get missed. Meanwhile the entire table is sitting here with their cards out ready to pay you? Not to mention if something is missed thats on YOU as you are the person entering the stuff into the system. Mind you we still have folks that were missing food or order was taken only for it to be sitting under a heat lamp. After some back and forth we paid (which they REFUSED to give us an itemized receipt) only for a smug waiter to come out with the missing deserts with creepy smile to literally say to us "I hope you enjoy it..." It's basically a retro playground for grownups who still love buttons that go clack. The atmosphere is welcoming, fun, and delightfully unpretentious. One minute you're strangers, the next minute you're cheering each other on like you've been in a league together for years. I came in spontaneous... next time I might actually plan ahead because WOW. They have a decent variety of pinball machines. They also have classic arcade games. They offer a variety of beers and snack which is nice. They also have lots of seating and stools. Stools are great because you can play while you sit which is great. Now for the bad. If you're looking for a classic arcade feel this is not the place. It's so quiet! Really all we heard was the ambient music (80s-90s hair bands which I love) but not why I'm here. Classic arcades are filled with the sounds of the games. Sadly there was little of that. Many of the video games had volume so low we couldn't hear them at all. The ones we could we had to strain to hear it. Also the upkeep of the games was not great. The terminator gun didn't work well at all, QBert was down, The Simpsons was down, dig dug was down. Star Wars was a 1-up system you can buy at Walmart and worn out, terrible experience. Many of the joy sticks were in need of maintenance as well. The Neo-Geo was not a MVS but rather a poor emulator that had color problems and terrible video tearing plus awful audio. Let's talk about the pinball machines. Most were modern machines that are still available for purchase. I saw a couple older ones but there was no information provided about the age. Overall this just okay. Many of the machines are not taken care of and this really ruins the experience for gamers.
