We sat in the second row. The first row looked too comfy ha! You have to order food before hand (I didn't realize that but i know for next time). We had popcorn and watch the Gremlins. Plenty of street parking. Staff very friendly. SInce there is only a curtain between the lobby and the seating you can hear people if they talk loud. I will definitely be back (my son wanted to go back the next night).

It only opened two years ago so the place is still brand spanking new. The theaters are very clean and nice with surround sound showing. The bowling is pretty cool because you can order food from the restaurant right from the bowling kiosk. It's cool that you can munch on food in between turns in bowling. The pricing for bowling is pretty competitive too. There is a time limit on bowling but the staff is pretty cool, if you are close to finishing; a lot of times they'll extend the time a little to let you finish the game. I don't spend too much time in the arcade but it is nice that they have a good variety of games. They're real games too, not just full of claw machines and coin pushers like most places nowadays. There are actual video games and pinball machines. The bar and restaurant are pretty nice. The food is actually pretty decent. I love their pizza and appetizers. It's a great place to watch a sporting event as well. Oftentimes they'll have specials running for when Philadelphia teams are playing in the restaurant. They also have the games playing on the screens above the bowling lanes. So you can keep up to date and bowl at the same time. I have yet to try the pool tables, but the rest of the establishment is well run, so I really have no reason to think otherwise in this department. Another thing that's cool about Cape Square is that they run quite a few events. They have Magic The Gathering in their party room (which you can rent for events by the way), name that tune nights in the restaurant, and bowling theme nights just to name a few. They do a good job in keeping things fresh and interesting there. At this point, it's basically a community hangout spot now. Best of all, they are open year round every single day. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal to some, but that's huge in a seasonal area where things can get boring after the summer has passed. I have lived in the area for about 7 years now and let me tell you this establishment is so badly needed here. It's a very well run and well kept place. I highly recommend visiting this place if you are ever bored or hungry. It's a good place to spend an afternoon or evening.

The owners aren't putting the effort and care into the place like they had previous years. Went to see a movie with my family tonight. We were in the giant theater and the two workers who went inside to clean the theater pushed all the trash and popcorn under the seats. Some seats were covered in soda too... The theater also charged my family a credit card surcharge fee for using a debit card which is illegal... Overall, watching experience is good. Just the service and cleanliness is bad here.

After reading so many of the reviews on here.... I can see that some of these folks just have a…read morevendetta against certain employees at this place. People who have never left a review before creating accounts just to badmouth someone. My family has been playing here for years so I speak from experience. Here are the facts: 1. They are trying to accommodate everyone... Therefore they have installed a card reader system to automate some of the process and make it easy for you to keep your points and you're spending money in one place. They do keep a certain amount of machines on quarters as well for those who prefer otherwise. I find this to be a very good compromise. 2. They have some very good prizes in this arcade. Obviously, the better prizes are going to be won by saving up your coupons over time... but then again, there are exceptions. This week I watched as a lady came in and wanted to win an NBA jersey. She sat down next to me at a poker machine and was unfamiliar... I showed her how to play five at a time to maximize the jackpot and, within 5 minutes she hit a jackpot high enough to win the jersey. Their coupons never expire so you can save them up and trade them in at anytime. Also, if they don't have it, they will get it for you. You just have to ask at the counter. They are extremely accommodating. 3. They work very hard in here... Everyone has a job... The floor people do not work behind the food counter... The redemption people do not work out on the floors... They all have specific functions that they are trained very well for. It can get hectic... but they honestly do to try to take care of everybody. There are certain times when they get very busy because it is the end of a tournament or there is a special free drawing going on at that moment... The place is huge so if you don't see someone in the front of the store... They also have people stationed in the middle and in the rear of the store as well as out by the cranes. 4. Somebody on here posted that the bathrooms are always filthy. I know this to be absolutely false. They clean these regularly throughout the day. This is 100% FACT! They have three bathrooms that are kept clean... Very clean. I see the workers who go in and clean them. Most of the employees who work here have that easy-going attitude and do whatever it takes to make things work. There is no way you could work there without being easy-going because the number of nit wits you have to deal with on a daily basis. They really do want you to have a good experience. 5. Cranes: You can't complain because you spent $5 trying to win a $500 item and didn't get it. Some cranes are easier than others. All machines ...at all arcades...use random number generators and will determine when a machine will be eligible to "pay out". A certain amount of money has to have been put into a machine (machines are set looser or tighter) before the claws tighten up more, before the stacker will stack to the top etc. etc. etc. That's just how these things work. It's a bit of skill and a bit of timing. Just chill out and have a good time. If you win points inside the casino area they will allow you to use these points purchase any of the stuffed animals or any of the other items in the cranes. All you have to do is ask. My favorite thing to do is just sit and watch some of the families with younger children having a blast in here. They are laughing and playing together... That makes my day. This is a family place. If you wander in drunk on a Saturday night and cause any problem, they are going to quickly show you the door. It's a safe, fun place to chill and have a good time. Enjoy it for what it is. I'm not a paid spokes person for this place...I've just enjoyed it for many years. I hope you will too.

My museum bestie & I went in thinking someone would be inside but nope, they take it on faith that you will behave though guessing there are cameras all over. Regardless this place is FULL of history on the local fire dept & has so many pix along with tools, gadgets and all things FD related. We stayed for maybe a half hour & during that time folks just casually walk in & out. An absolutely lovely find, am so happy we got to see it!

This past weekend I attended my third Wildwood Beer Festival at Fox Park. We started coming in 2015…read moreand now look forward to the event every season. Bottom line: the organizers do a decent job with this event. With a few minimal tweaks, it could go from "OK" to great. The positives are easy. Unlike a lot of these beer/wine festivals, the event is never oversold. Are there crowds? sure. But with 40+ breweries offering 100+ samples, we've NEVER had to wait for a drink. There's a nice selection and cross section of breweries too. Brand new local craft shops like Oaklyn NJ's Tonewood set up next to national brands like Yeungling and Sam Adams. The more intimate local shops have knowledgeable brewers on hand to give some insight into the hot flavors of the summer. The non-beer vendors are great too. Want to take a break from sampling to grab a Nick's Roast Beef or sausage-and-peppers? You can. Smoke a cigar or play some lawn games? Available. So why has't the event taken off? Why have they cut down from three sessions to two sessions? A few irksome but easily fixed negatives: One is the live entertainment. In three years I have yet to see a halfway decent band. Occasionally I glance over at the stage, it's always the same story - a bunch of try-hard locals trying to fire up the two or three people watching their Sublime covers. Whatever the organizers are paying these guys is too much. You'd get the same/better effect with a DJ. Nobody is buying a ticket to the Beer Fest to stand and watch a band. Second is the logistics of the event. I buy a ticket for 12-4 or 6-10. I'd like to be able to enjoy the entire festival. The organizers won't open up the lines to get into the park until after 12. So realistically, even if you show up at 11:30, you won't be anywhere near the sampling tent until 12:15. On the back end, private security starts chasing people out at 3:45. That was odd - considering vendors were still pouring beers and the music was still playing. Overall it's a good event. A few minor attention-to-detail fixes and it could become the best craft beer fest at the Jersey Shore.
