When we were there during the week of Christmas, they were busy with lots of folks stocking up refrigerators and freezers and people buying gift certificates and gifts. A big favorite of our family is their beef jerky. They carry several types, sweeter barbecue, spicy, and it is fast mover based on the customers we saw. Most of it is less chewy than other butchers in the area, so it's worth trying before you buy to make sure you like it. It was also nice to get sliced cheese (Lipari) to have ready for the holiday tables and leftover sandwiches. If you are looking for something specific or want a large order, call ahead. They will pull the order for you and be ready with it when you arrive. This makes it easier on everyone! Also, they will vacuum seal almost anything so that it lasts longer in a cooler or freezer. Some places won't do this, so it is great service. It can get crowded, but the crowd and the service are friendly. When it's crowded, it may move slowly, but it will be worth it, especially to support a small, local business that provides an important food-based business for the community.

His response was to inform me that he was the owner and hung up on me . I had to take the rotting pig carcass back to them they did replace it the next day . But as anyone that has ever done or attended a pig roast it takes a long time to cook a whole pig . So the event was ruined and they had a freezer full of roasted pork to deal with . All of the meat is shrink-wrapped and a lot of it is frozen. I bought some twice-baked potatoes, two huge stuffed chicken breasts (One mushroom and one broccoli cheddar), and a package of lemon-marinated chicken thighs for $40! The only one that I've eaten so far is the mushroom-stuffed chicken breast and it was really delicious. I'm looking forward to trying everything else in my freezer.
