Yesterday I brought a car to his house to attempt to remove road paint. He offered a deluxe wash, and I told him the main thing was to get the yellow paint off. today he told me it would be 600 dollars with the wash and the paint removal approx 4 hours and the 200 dollar wash. I tried to tell him id like to keep the budget 500 or less ..to either skip the wash or spend less time removing paint, and he told me to find another detailer who would do it cheap. He straight up would rather lose a client of almost 3 years in addition to the 500 dollar job, than negotiate the job with a price within my budget. Shane laid out all my options suggesting ways I might be able to address the issue myself to save me money and shared with me the materials and products I might use and how to go about it, even offering to sell me some of his inventory. I ultimately had his shop do the work because I could tell they had integrity and would take pride in a job well done and would do their absolute best. And they did. He worked for over seven hours on my car and it now looks absolutely beautiful. Even though he did an ok job he way overcharged me for what he did do and I'm still getting dirt out of places he missed. You can see by his pics and him arriving unprepared at my house that he really doesn't want to do actual work, he just wants to do touch ups because my vehicle did not turn out like the pics you see on google and facebook.
