Damn close to perfection. Service: absolute perfection…read more Great space. Wouldn't miss it in Acapulco.

It is with great disappointment I have to write this review. First the menu was reduced, the prices skyrocket to new levels (never seen by me before, even after inflation), They think that by adding 24K gold leaves to "everything" gives them the right to charge whatever they want. Newsflash: the gold does not add flavor or quality to the food. It just something that locals"drug lords" or narcos need to feel success. Which makes me wonder what kind of patrons are they having in "Acapulco?!". Don't answer, it's obvious. The dinner started strong with the hose bread which was the only consistent food item in the evening (with other restaurants of the same brand). Then the starters arrived: the carpaccio was dry (refrigerated too long), the meet cold and unsalted. The artichoke dip was supposed to have crab meat on it... never find a single piece of it, and again unsalted. Then we skipped the meat, because there is no reason to pay 100 USD (equivalente) for 250g of prime meat. They really are out of range here. But still ask for the prime burger. The meat was chewy, not and easy bite (too thick and uneven). The bun does not hold and get wet and soggy with the sauces pretty fast, and the meat had a funny tasting flavor. At the beginning I thought it was dry aged, but I asked and It was not ( just hopping not to get sick). We skipped the dessert because, in addition to be stuffed, they eliminate the greatest single item (the chocolate cake) from their menu. So, in summary, if you can choose, choose something else.

My waiter was nice to get me some green tea and water as I went on to explore the food offerings. There is quite a variety of food, from a standard continental breakfast mixed with some random Asian fare, Mediterranean, French, Italian and Mexican - but perhaps it was too eclectic? Or maybe I felt there wasn't a tie in for all the different foods. But, for those of you who know me, I found a way to get creative and make my own dishes from everything they had - if you have a good imagination, you will find eating here a bit of fun! I grabbed two tortillas and made chicken tinga tacos with some eggs, frijoles, crema, onion, cojita, & guacamole! Next I added a small bed of fried rice with eggs and bacon on top :) I made a second plate of various items from the charcuterie [ I love prosciutto & cheddar! ], small quiche bite with asparagus wrapped in bacon, sprinkled a bit of capers and violà! Food was good - the staff pleasant, perhaps they can be a little more engaging with guests, over all, magnifico! Come hungry and Bon apetit!
