I had visited this restaurant many times in my life and in many cities (Mexico City and Cancun), it has been one of my favorite since times I can't remember. It is with great disappointment I have to write this review. First the menu was reduced, the prices skyrocket to new levels (never seen by me before, even after inflation), They think that by adding 24K gold leaves to "everything" gives them the right to charge whatever they want. Newsflash: the gold does not add flavor or quality to the food. It just something that locals"drug lords" or narcos need to feel success. Which makes me wonder what kind of patrons are they having in "Acapulco?!". Don't answer, it's obvious. The dinner started strong with the hose bread which was the only consistent food item in the evening (with other restaurants of the same brand). Then the starters arrived: the carpaccio was dry (refrigerated too long), the meet cold and unsalted. The artichoke dip was supposed to have crab meat on it... never find a single piece of it, and again unsalted. Then we skipped the meat, because there is no reason to pay 100 USD (equivalente) for 250g of prime meat. They really are out of range here. But still ask for the prime burger. The meat was chewy, not and easy bite (too thick and uneven). The bun does not hold and get wet and soggy with the sauces pretty fast, and the meat had a funny tasting flavor. At the beginning I thought it was dry aged, but I asked and It was not ( just hopping not to get sick). We skipped the dessert because, in addition to be stuffed, they eliminate the greatest single item (the chocolate cake) from their menu. So, in summary, if you can choose, choose something else. read more

Harry's Steakhouse & Raw Bar Acapulco, MX I ate REALLY good Mexican food the entire time I was in Mexico, but on the last night of my recent trip, I decided to hit up a steakhouse. Harry's didn't disappoint at all whatsoever and the service was amazing, no doubt. Harry's 6 Piece Oysters - These oysters were straight fire and came with a Roquefort dressing, au gratin melted Comtè cheese and a white truffle oil drizzle. Bangin Roca Golden Shrimp - Covered in a Mayo and sriracha dressing topped with arugula and scallions. One of my favorite apps for sure. Delicious Stone Crab Claws - Served with a habanero tartar, nothing struck me on this one. It was good, don't get me wrong, it was fresh, but just lacked a little flavor even with the tartar ‍ Harry's Beef Medallions - Now these were damn good, topped with grilled cheery tomatoes, oregano, shiitake mushrooms, baby arugula and gorgonzola. Wow!! Major flavor Funghi Risotto with Fresh Grated Black Truffle - This was my favorite dish, a lot of flavor, everything about it hit right. It was an Arborio rice prepared with butter, parsley, Grana Padano cheese, olive oil, mushroom duxelle, vegatable broth, meat juice, demiglace, truffle oil and fresh grated black truffle. Wow!! Must try Lamb Rack - Lamb is one of my favorite types of meat, this rack was Josper-baked with mustard and toasted pistachios Served with cherry tomatoes, spring onions, rosemary sauce and mint jelly. Damn good Finished it off with a legit, amazing creme brûlée and some complimentary cotton candy. This dinner was amazing, hit the spot majorly and definitely worth a try if your there. read more

Went there for drinks, cheapest tequila was 15 USD. Nothing served next to it. Mohito made out of rotten mint, overly sugary. All fancy from outside with no real character nor content. Shame. read more

This is an excellent restaurant the tea is delicious and the cotton candy is huge and delicious the meat is great definitely recommend.

I was disappointed with my overall experience. We waited over an hour for a table, the empanadas were hollow and hard and the cheese prosciutto empanada had no prosciutto. The rib eye steak was mostly all fat. I don't mind paying for good food, but Harry's not worth the price. read more

Just had my son's 15th Birthday here. It's been one of the best steak dinners ever. Surprising that you can find this in Acapulco. Steaks were high quality and cooked well, side orders were big and enough for entire table. Birthday cake was excellent, cocktails were inventive, cotton candy at the end was a show stopper, and the cinnamon scented towel at the end was a nice touch. Fine restaurant that rivals some of the best steak houses in the US. read more
