The glass was all double paned and unusual shapes, needed to be custom fabricated. Really wanted to get a company that would pay attention to the detail and get this done right since it's a nice house. They came out and measured all the panes, custom made replacements, and came back and swapped them out. All told this was a big job requiring a significant amount of labor. Turned out great! See my picture. Heads up I will mention the job start to finish took about 4.5 weeks vs the 2.5 weeks initially estimated, largely due to ordering of the custom glass. The price quoted was fair, and they came in 100% on budget. Happy to recommend and use them again. Also happy to use a local business.

On the east coast this is common occurrence with older, more historic homes, so finding someone to make repairs in this area was more challenging than expected. I called several places and after delays and a few days passing I was finally referred to Anthony even though based in Seaside. We were in luck that he had another Job in Santa Cruz and he fit us into his busy schedule. Anthony was very friendly and professional and did a great job in replacing the window. We had another small crack to the corner of another window which I asked about. Instead of charging us double, he suggested to wait and put glue on either side and said we could wait and see if an issue down the road than we could deal with it. His pricing is also fair. I guess you failed to tell me that it was going to be $155.00 per person X2  (installers)... and the time that they were at my home was from 10:00 am to 11:30 am = 1 1/2 hours, not 2 hours....?? I thought I would let you know in advance of this before I give my "Beware heads up" in the future to Sea Haven residents and on my Yelp account of Del Monte Glass..... Again sorry for not understanding the hidden cost of install... I guess it's my bad.. won't happen again because your installers will not be welcomed at my home.... I was treated like an idiot when I questioned them about an issue.... turns out I wasn't the idiot.... When I picked up the glass a very nice man brought it to my car for me and explained what to use to adhere the glass to the frame. Restoring my double hung, wooden sash windows, I broke a window removing the glazing (so sad, this…read morewas antique drawn glass, but it is very fragile, so not surprised) 20"x 39". The window was not square, and they actually cut the window perfectly to size! (That may sound like a given, but no, it is not. One other place had cut a piece for me and they would only cut it one length, I needed 1/8 inch longer on one side.) They sanded the edges and loaded it up for me in my car. The glass is perfect, nothing fancy, just 1/8" but I was so happy with this result! Everyone I spoke to was delightful and very pleasant. I have had glass cut for other windows in the past, but never had such excellent results. I was especially grateful for the sanded (safety bevels) on the edges. I have had to handle fresh cut edges in the past, and I did not know that the sanding was available. Cut edges on glass is really stressful. We will be going back here for any glass needs.
