I was sadly disappointed in the bill I paid on 10/12/21 for $620.00... My understanding was that I was going to pay $155.00 for each hour of labor done on-site..  2 hours of labor should have been $310.00... I guess you failed to tell me that it was going to be $155.00 per person X2  (installers)... and the time that they were at my home was from 10:00 am to 11:30 am = 1 1/2 hours, not 2 hours....?? I thought I would let you know in advance of this before I give my "Beware heads up" in the future to Sea Haven residents and on my Yelp account of Del Monte Glass..... Again sorry for not understanding the hidden cost of install... I guess it's my bad.. won't happen again because your installers will not be welcomed at my home.... I'm shocked by the negative reviews for Del Monte Glass Shop. I just had some glass replaced in a 90 year old building. I had a quick response on an estimate initially and was told it would take a few weeks because of an unusual glass and size because I had three different glass sizes. Two weeks went by and I received a call from a nice lady in the office who scheduled an appointment. The installer, Jim, showed up a few minutes earlier than the appointment and he was ready to go. He was very professional, very organized and very accommodating. He made it a point to clean-up after himself and made sure I was okay with his work before he left. I'm completely satisfied with the work and I'll be using Del Monte Glass Shop again in the future. Good job Jim! Thank you again for the great work. read more

I needed to have the screen on a sliding patio door replaced, and this was the only place I could find to do it. I brought the door to them and got a call about 8 days later saying it was ready. I picked it up but when I got home I realized they gave me the wrong door. I called them on a Monday asking them to deliver the correct door and pick up the other door. They said they'd call me back on Tuesday. I called every day that week, and finally on Thursday they assured me that the door would be delivered on Friday morning. Friday morning came and went with no door so I called back. They said it would be delivered that afternoon. Incredibly, they delivered the wrong door. The strangest part is that the people I spoke with in the office were giving me attitude. It's as if I didn't have a right to be angry with the situation. The following Monday I drove to the shop to find my door, and with the help of one of the workers, I was able to. The quality of their work was good, but the management of that business is the worst. I don't think I ever received an apology for twice giving me the wrong door. I would avoid doing business with this company. read more

Scheduled two appointments within the same week. Got blown off both times! First appointment I made was never put on the schedule by the office. Second appointment made the next day, Paul, the estimator never showed up, not even a phone call to verify appointment time or confirm appointment. VERY bad customer service. Will never use them for any of my future needs. Totally understanding how companies are trying to get back to business as usual, but, no excuse for not even taking a few minutes to call, period. read more

Move along to another glass business. I called for a quote. First.. dude was two hours late to the appointment. Asked to quotes on multiple windows, sizes, doors etc.... guy was rude to my wife while in my house. Second.. we called multiple times for the quote. They couldn't find it, spell my name wrong etc. a nightmare. it took them two weeks to get a quote back and it never included anything I need to replaced. Quote guy useless, office worker useless. If this glass company wants to remain in business they need to work on customer service skills. At the end of the day they install glass. There are plenty of other companies that would like my money and business. read more

This place must not have any local or regional competition. Either that, or they just choose to be rude, dismissive, and ridiculously expensive. I was treated rudely from the moment I walked in to their shop. Over a month long period they failed to return phone calls or do anything with my project. Ultimately I went back, retrieved my items and left. I was polite and patient with them, but in the end I gave up and will have to postpone my project until I can find another glass shop. They do not deserve your business. If the people at the front desk were my employees, they would be fired. read more

Absolute worst supplier I've ever dealt with in 20 years of construction. Zero customer service or communication, shop is a disaster and poorly run, no one knows what's going on, multiple delays and every excuse in the book. Installers were the only good thing that came out of my experience. By all means avoid if possible. read more

I want to give them high marks for their service but as of now I can't. They replaced a door of mine that doesn't open all the way and I've contacted them a couple times to have them fix it and it's been months. Hopefully I will update this review in a positive manner when this situation is fixed once and for all. read more

Wish that ZERO stars was an option. I had them replace my ENTIRE home with replacement windows and sliding glass doors with a so-called "Lifetime" warranty. Fast forward 10 years later... some of the windows are leaking and guess what??? "So sorry that's not covered under the warranty." I'm a very savvy consumer but these people outright LIE just to steal your money. I will never use them again nor can i recommend them to any of my fellow Yelpers. Classic case of bait-and-switch with regards to warranty service. It should also be noted that my contract and warranty certificate does NOT state that LEAKAGE is an exclusion. Crooks! read more

After initially reaching out to Del Monte Glass in mid June to have several windows repaired, it is now September and I am no closer to getting any windows repaired. They claim that the parts have not arrived but it has been 3 months since they supposedly ordered the parts. Which is confusing because their technician claimed he had all parts needed and was waiting for approval. Frustrating process from the start, worst customer service to date. Ordered a window first week of January, gave the deposit$$ and three weeks later still had not heard a word, called them to check the status of my order and nothing had been done, Brenda gave me some lame excuse said she would call me back and three days later still no call back so on day four I called and canceled my order. read more

I placed an order for 6 glass panels (4 of one type and 2 other different sizes/types) I was quoted a price of $200 which seemed te be based on no obvious logic. The price was honored but the two week estimate was WAY off. I came back in two weeks and was told "another week". I showed up a week later to hear the same thing. After that I just called. It took 4 weeks and even when told the glass was ready, when I showed up it took them 40 minutes to find the order. I will not be returning. read more

Del Monte Glass super expensive! I ended up giving them two stars due to the fact the installer showed up when he said he would. Any good ended there. The quote took over a week to get and that is because i called numerous times. Once i got it they did help me make a quick decision because there bid was twice as expensive as the other ones i got. read more

Wish there was a fractional star to rate them. This was once a reputable company....not sure what happen. New owners/management maybe? Whatever the reason, they are on the top of the list of vendors that I will never use again. Without going into tremendous details, the interaction with the company was simply a nightmare. Promised appointment times were not met, the verbal (not written) quote that I received was for a larger size window than that of which was measured. When I called them on the phone to address this, the treatment I received was rude and unprofessional. I have never been the recipient of this type of pathetic customer service. I later discovered (from a former Del Monte Glass employee) that Del Monte Glass has been receiving numerous complaints and customer service issues. Sounds like there are a few unhappy/dissatisfied employees that may need new jobs or attitude adjustments. read more

I guess I should have read all the previous reviews! I didn't ask enough questions -shame on me. I had to replace the glass in one of the six windows in the front of the house. I should have asked if the glass was going to be the same kind, color etc. I was not advised that their clear glass has a green tint to it. Now I have five clear Windows and an expensive slightly green window. When I saw it later I called the office and was told that is "their clear glass". Nothing can be done. Office staff answered all our questions and concerns, installation crew showed up when expected, set up/installed/cleaned up and we're finished within the time allotted. Coast County Glass is DBA Del Monte Glass. In my experience this is done because the business has been sold. So you may not be dealing with the same owners if they had done work for you n the past. They ordered and installed incorrect windows. Did not return phone calls. After I told them of the problem and not to deposit my check they tried anyways. had stopped payment on to cover myself after the questionable response of the office worker.. Threatened me with collections and I was told they would not except payment except by money order or cashiers check. It has been almost 3 months and not resolved. I never even received a verbal apology. After all the emails back and forth I finally received one only because I had mentioned it a number of times. I have never spoken to the manager by phone, she has never called only emails. Tacky business practice.I would recommend Signature Glass whom I had install my picture window a few years ago. Never again will i chose a business by trying to give it to locals in my own town. read more

MISTAKE OR DELIBERATE FRAUD ? Either way, they refuse responsiblity. I personally went into their shop twice, picked out a shower door, gave lady my measurements of 3' x 6' door glass, discussed coating, trim, handle, etc. Told her it was for a rental & she agreed to get it done in "2 - 3 weeks."Received estimate of $850 - $900 depending on exact measurement by their guy. He came out, confirmed measurement wasn't off by more than an inch on one dimension, & confirmed standard installation conditions. I ordered the door, went back a third time to pay them a $400 deposit. That was over a week ago. Yesterday, over a week into this & very close to arrival of tenant, I was told that the exact price will be $1350 - 50% MORE THAN THE HIGH END OF THE QUOTED RANGE. "Brenda" who gave me the estimate said it was "totally my (her) fault...I made a mistake...looked at old pricing...." but that since I did not have a "written contract" all they would do is give me my $400 deposit back if I don't want to pay the $1350. Owner whom she says is a Ted Waldon, has not returned my calls of yesterday & today. Now I'm up against a deadline with tenant, I'm in a pickle. They say "pay our new price or lump it." I suggest you NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. read more
