We came into this place looking for high-quality fridges. They didn't sell subzero's, which we really wanted, but they did have Thermidors and they were very expensive so we settled on some Frigidaire professionals, which at first we thought was a good idea. Shortly there after we had a repairman up at our house repairing something else and told him of our purchase and he looked at us with horror and said anything but those! So we decided to cancel the purchase and instead put 14 grand down on a subzero that's going to take 14 months to get. The flooring place helped us out and did what we needed and they were very nice and they sent us a check for the return money and the guy was very nice. We'd recommend it. read more

Great place when you are shopping and buying but when they screw up they don't fix their mistakes. I pity anyone that has them do their house like we did and end up with a bad job in one room because they refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes. We even contacted the owner at the store in Bozeman but he's related to the boss in Helena and it's a "good old buddy" system where they refuse todo anything We have expensive wood floors in the main part of the house, kitchen dining and entry, and we are stuck with this horrible installation that is chipping and separating and just looks bad and really spoils what was otherwise a good job. read more

Have been trying to work with them since November 2019. They are very good at establishing a relationship but once you are hooked you never see or hear from them again. They came out when they said to do an estimate but it took over a month of my calling and going into the store before I finally received it. Then I picked out the tile i wanted but again I cannot get a call back or help in ordering. I don't understand how they can not respond when you are ready to spend your money, Incredibly poor business. So if you want something done in a reasonable amount of time, don't go to the Flooring Place. read more

My husband and I came in on a Saturday. The store was nearly empty. I was 2:00. I explained we were going to be doing a kitchen, dining room, pantry, laundry room remodel. I pointed out flooring and cabinets I was interested in. I gave Nick the model numbers to 4 appliances that I was wanting to buy and asked for a price. Nick made no notes and said he would try to have prices on the appliances for us in 2 weeks when they came out to measure. When we left the store the first time, we both left feeling Nick was more interested in the fact that he wasn't getting to eat his lunch that day. Two weeks later: the price Nick quoted for the appliances did not reflect any sales that were going on, I had to ask if there were rebates. Laziness? Maybe the business doesn't need our business since they are up 20% in sales for the year? Yesterday, someone else from the store called me to schedule time to review the plans they had come up with. I asked if we could do this on a Saturday since he told me they try to leave by 4:30 (hours say open until 5:30) during the week. Additionally, I have to meet with others for our project that are not available during the weekend and cannot miss more work then is absolutely necessary. After being told he didn't know his kids schedules, I asked if needed to check on that and get back to me. He said yes. Today he calls back and says, so hey yeah lets see if we can schedule something for Monday. I advised him that we had talked about him looking for a Saturday appointment for me. He says well baseball just started so it will have to be with someone else. Then why didn't he get this arranged with someone else on a Saturday for me? These people cannot think for themselves and will not go above or beyond to meet your needs. Total lack of professionalism. I understand that you have kids but someone is in your store on Saturday. Your customers also have jobs and other commitments. Don't waste our time, impact our jobs and/or our family time. read more

Just avoid at all cost. Thought I would try to stay local but they won't get any more business. STook 2 weeks long for items then told, which was the wrong color but worked out then ordered more of the item and they tried to charge almost double saying they had a jump in price in under 30 days. Never again using this store. read more

Lou W, Lindsey S., We too, experienced the lack of service, more over the lack of common courtesy. Our countertop took more than 3 months. Phone calls were promised by the employees, those never happened. Our emails were sometimes replied too, however, those took 4 weeks. We took the initiative and drove to the Helena store several times, spoke with the sales people, forwarded pictures while we were there, and again, their response took weeks. We received a phone call from Bozeman's customer relations enquiring about our remaining balance. However, we told her we would gladly pay it once we received our final amended bill. We were charged for a backsplash, but no backsplash was installed. Once we signed the agreement, our sales person never called about the job, never stopped by the home, zero follow-up. If I could rate lower than one star I would. There were more troublesome issues with this experience, but I have better things to do than ramble on-Find someone else. We also had requested an estimate/proposal for 1200 ft of new flooring. We are so looking forward to doing business with Townsend Flooring. They have already shown great customer service beyond the Flooring Place.. They want to earn your business, they want you to a be a loyal customer, but most of all, just some common courtesy. read more

Lindsay S; I agree with you completely. It took 3 months for them to get my countertop installed. The first two countertops had pieces broken off and they had to start over. The 1st one they brought into the house with a large piece broken off. They made finally made me an offer to reduce the price to what I thought was reasonable and fished up with a granite that just isn't right. I wish I hadn't accepted the offer. The granite just isn't what I originally wanted from them and they had agreed to sell me. I had also talked to them about curtains and possibly carpeting. After the countertop was finally installed I heard nothing. That really didn't bother me because I decided not to do any further business with them. But, I thought the owner might be interested so finally called him down In Bozeman and he said he would talk to the manager. I never heard from him. Not a hi, bye or a word of any kind. You'd think an owner would want satisfied customers. So I can't recommend Flooring Place. Who I can recommend is Finsteds Carpeting. They did the entire house with new flooring and carpeting. Great job, great follow up. The flooring place could learn a lot from them. They lost a lot of business from me. read more

I came here for countertops. After telling me that the countertops I wanted could be done with remnants, giving me a quote that I accepted, I heard absolutely nothing from them for a week and a half. I took the initiative to follow up, and that's when they told me they couldn't do it in remnants, and they upped their quote by 25%. I wasted two weeks working with this company and delayed my remodel by that amount of time. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience with them. read more
