I waited 5-10 minutes in line behind cars on Georgia Avenue to enter one of the car wash lanes. As the line moved, a maroon SUV pulled into the left lane for service, and I followed directly behind since it was the next available lane to clear traffic from Georgia Ave. An individual who identified himself as the "owner" approached and accused me of skipping the line simply because he was not present to direct me. It's unreasonable to expect customers to wait for someone who is not actively managing the flow. Despite my explanation, he refused to service my vehicle and placed an orange cone in front of my car to block me from moving forward. This behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and created an unnecessary scene. I will not be returning and plan to share this experience with others. read more

Was in the area and took our little dirty car to the Montgomery Hill Car wash. This was my first time going there. It was Saturday and it was very busy. The price for the wash was on par with what I usually pay. I paid extra for them to clean and wash the floor mats. My daughter(8) and I jumped out of the car and watched it go through the wash cycle. At the end there were a number of people involved in wiping the car down. Though the car was clean, there was a lot of excess water on the floor mats and in the cup holders. I have never had an experience at a car wash where the interior was left wet. Based on this I would just opt for an exterior wash (or try another spot). read more

This is my go to place for a car wash. Their service is quick, efficient and low cost. The people here are hard working and take their job seriously. Soon after the wash, it is towel dried manually and it is done by 5-6 people all working on the car simultaneously, so it is done in a matter of minutes. There is a tip box right in front. Please make sure to tip graciously. The place offers various levels of car wash and also has several add ons. Look at the pricing in the pictures I posted. Once, I parked my car under a pine tree. It rained that evening and there was sap all over my car. I took it these guys and for $39.99 they removed everything and made it spotless. The charge includes the wash, vacuum and drying. read more

When I drive by this place, I see a decent number of cars waiting, so I assumed that I would wait a lot, but the service here was pretty efficient and organized. Once you drive in, you wait in one of the lanes as the staff comes and asks you about the service. There are three options, all under 30 bucks. You then leave a car as other staff members would vacuum your vehicle. Then, you pay in the store and wait for the car to go through the automatic washing and staff wiping down the vehicle. It's not hand-washed, so if my car has heavy stains, this place might not be sufficient. I was personally glad that the staff carefully taped all of the outer parts (side mirrors or wipers) before the wash, as I knew sometimes some parts fly during the wash. Overall, I only spent under 20 minutes here. There is a cash tip box on the way you leave the store, so bring some cash. read more

I can't imagine a worse experience. We pulled in 10 minutes before 5pm and asked when they close. The associate checking people in confirmed we were good on time. Shortly thereafter I start getting my two babies out of the car, and one of the guys starts screaming at me to hurry up and get out, and telling me they would not spend any time on my car because they didn't want to be there all night. He screamed in my face repeatedly and I was in shock. My kids started crying. Then I asked for a manager and everyone -- everyone -- dodged my request to speak to someone. Someone said he was around, but he didn't know where. Another person said he was on vacation. The service was horrific. To top it off, we had paid for a premium wash and they did a terrible job. Biggest waste of money, but the place also didn't feel safe. Avoid this place like the plague. :-( read more

Honestly don't waste your time or money. Your better off driving away from silver spring for a better car wash. THEY ARE RUDE AND UNPLEASANT AS WELL. I haven't had a car wash in over 4 months. My car wasn't extremely dirty but it did have some leftover salt from the snow days. I wasn't expecting my car to be squeaky clean as it's a fast drive through car wash but for $27 I was expecting at least a decent job. They have 4 options to choose from and you can choose to add rainx for an additional cost. I chose the top tier because my car needed it. When you drive up you'll notice there are three lanes that merge into 1 and they actually drive your car for you through the wash. Inside my car: - They did a good job vacuuming my car. - there are fingerprints on my dashboard. - doesn't seem like they wipe down the shoe scuffs on the door - my seats should've been vacuumed DIDNT HAPPEN Outside my car - there are water marks all over my windows. - My window wasn't wiped down correctly as it still has dirt marks (see pics) - my tires weren't wiped down at all - there are still salt marks and bug marks on my hood. Customer service: - I had a Latin guy pass by me and whisper something to me. - INAPPROPRIATE - the cashier doesn't even say hi. I've been passing this car wash for years and have wondered if the long lines were worth it. I managed to catch it on a day when the lines were not that long and decided to check it out. There are three lines merging into one, and the staff do a decent job of making the process go as smoothly as possible. There are refreshments (candy, soda, bottled water), air fresheners and a random rack of greeting cards inside of the building. Overall, the wash was decent but, the drying left a lot to be desired. There were lots of water spots left on my car, and they left some dust/dirt in the interior. I would have been better served running it through an automatic car wash and wiping it down myself with the chamois I keep in my trunk, instead. Also, they threw away my almost-full bottle of drinking water that was in my cup holder. On a 90+ degree day, that was not a pleasant surprise. read more

The owner and workers are friendly and helpful too. I've been coming here for close to 10+ years now and have trusted this car wash to several expensive cars. Next to physically having a hand wash, they do a fantastic job. I do not say this lightly, given the fact that a car wash on Georgia Ave in DC come a dime a dozen....but I purposely leave the city and come here because of the quality, attention and care I receive when bringing my car here. The format is real simple....you drive up and select a car wash that starts between $18-24 bucks; depending on the tier: Standard, Deluxe or Ultimate wash. Each tier offers additional cleaning and services such as triple coat wax, undercarriage wash, tire shine, RainX, etc. Vacuuming service and cleaning of your car mats are FREE! Occasionally, there may be a little smudge or tough particle of oil/grime left that the wash did not get but as soon as you point the issue out...it is taken care of. For anyone on here complaining about left over grime or dirt from the wash...need to realize that it is a machine wash for $18 bucks....not a hand-wash or detail job for $220! If you prefer this, then you are at the wrong place and your expectations are considerably too high for an already reasonable car washing service. In all, you can't go wrong coming here in my opinion. As mentioned before they get the job done. They also clean your wheels and bumper thoroughly....something I notice some car washes skip over and you are left to do the detail-work yourself. TIP: Don't be cheap when coming here! Our minivan emerged with a footlong hairline crack in the middle of the windshield. I immediately pointed this out - and was told 1) it was there before and 2) it was not their fault. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was given the run around but finally found him - he started by yelling at me and insisted the crack was there when I drove in - and then walked away. I tried to explain I just needed to get information for my insurance claim but he continued to ignore me. Everyone else I talked to did the same. I have gone here plenty of times before despite the horror stories (from our listserv and on Google reviews) because it's so close. Never again. I just left there and the lady who greets you and asks what service you want, doesn't let you finish talking. I paid for the $22 plus the rainEX and coated tires. There was none of that applied! I started going to this car wash in 2019 and they were great for about a year. Very detail oriented etc but now it's HORRIBLE. I am sitting in the Shell parking lot rn bc I just got my car washed and it's still dirty so I have to vacuum it myself and find another place to wash the exterior. $32 (cost of wash + tip) down the drain. Smh never again. I think they must've had a lot of turnover bc the men who worked at the wash when I first started going were GREAT. V friendly and thorough. They probably just need to train their new hires better and set a standard for what clean is and what quality customer service is. I'm not sure how much folks are getting paid but they may need to increase the pay too bc it's v laborious work and they stay pretty busy. I'm done being a customer here. This place has had my loyalty for the last 6-7 years and the quality of their work has been declining while prices keep going up. The way they handled my car today was unacceptable. The car was not cleaned properly and they rushed me out as I was pointing out to one of the employees to clean the clearly visible dirt on top of my trunk. As that person was cleaning the smudges (which he didn't even completely clean) another employee told me to move my car. I said it was still being cleaned. The other employee took my car and drove it off the lot and parked it in the next parking lot. I told him my car wasn't done being washed. This place may work for some but it didn't work for me. I have outdoor parking at my place so I came here with a specific agenda to remove bird poop to prevent damage to my new car. After the wash, all of the bird poop was still there, even on the windows which I imagine is easier to clean. The vacuuming was done well in the interior but the trunk still had a few spots that needed vacuuming, judging by the leftover debris. I appreciate the effort and I know it's not easy to be outside for long hours doing a lot of physical labor but I'll have to find a new place to clean the car. read more

This has to be one of the best car washes I've been to in the DMV. It's not cheap, but they clean every nook and cranny of the vehicle and, importantly, hand dry the vehicle as soon as it passes out of the car wash tunnel. A team of people do the final cleaning and some minor detailing after drying the car, as you can see in the photo. I should also point out that the workers are uniformly polite and friendly, which is a big plus I wish they had a branch in Virginia. Puts Mr. Wash and some of the pricey Alexandria options to shame. read more

tl;dr: go elsewhere. Went in to get my SUV washed. I park under trees, so there was some tree sap on my roof. Whoever the man working the welcome line is would benefit from some customer service training (though, given his attitude, I doubt he'd comply). As I arrived, he was just telling another customer, "I'm busy and don't have time to talk to you." When he saw my car, he immediately told me it would take "an hour" to scrub the sap off my car roof. I told him I was fine if he couldn't get it off and that I just wanted a quick wash and vacuum, etc. He refused to serve me. I went to another car wash about a mile away and they took me promptly and even removed the tree sap. The whole process took fifteen minutes. read more

I have been living in this area since 2012. I am familiar with this car wash and I would give a rating of 3. Satisfactory. The closest car wash in my area. But today, the service was terrible, a complete rush job. The supervisor very rude and not helpful. Workers not qualified. The 2 guys that vacuumed my SUV did not know how to open and close my trunk which you have to press a button and NOT forcibly hand close the trunk. I am now having problems closing the trunk from the outside pressing the button. My key fob works and pushing the button from the inside works. My SUV back window was not cleaned on the inside and the worker was told that he had to clean the inside. He did not know how to open my trunk so I used my fob to open the trunk. When he finished he was getting ready to hand close the trunk and I stopped him. That is when I saw that pushing the button was not working. My seats had water on them and my mats was soaked with water. They were not dried. I pulled out some paper towels to soak up the water. The worker used some cloth that looked soiled and very wet. I complained to the supervisor because when I got in the car to leave, the back window was still not clean. It had smeared water stains. I got out of the car and tried to talk with the workers and of course no one could speak English. I went inside and the cashier said the manager was outside. I found him and he said if I was not satisfied to take the car back through the facility which did not make sense because all he had to do was to clean the back window, get up the excess water and look at my outside button to my trunk. I will not ever come back to this car wash and I am going to leave a review on instagram, tixtoc, facebook and any other website were I can inform the public of the terrible service and incompetent workers. I could not agree more with those that have had to deal with the manager. I ran my Suburban through the wash and noticed the tri-color foam was not hitting the top of larger vehicles, at all. I mentioned it to the cashier as I was paying. She motioned to the manager and I said the same thing to him. He went off on me! He insisted his equipment was working and ran my suburban through a second time. I would only go here if my car is older (which it is) and super filthy for a cheap in and out clean. They caution to tape your panels down and remove magnets that could get lost. I've lived in the area over 20 years and this was my first time coming here. I had a grueling drive home in snowy weather across two turnpikes and my car did not fare well. It was coated in snow and sludge. This was just what my car deserved! It's pricier than Mr. Wash, but they work hard for the money. It's a tightly run ship. Once your vehicle comes outa large crew surrounds it and vacuums, wipes, and dries it. The weather was freezing, but they worked hard. Prices are $14/$18/$23 (an added $1 for SUVs). Not sure exactly what the differences are, but you can see it in one of the photos here. There's a tip box. They definitely deserve it! My car was spotless. No wonder there's always a long line here that often spills out onto Georgia Avenue. read more

This is my go-to car wash. The prices are reasonable and the team here is quick, efficient and pleasant. Since I'm a light driver, the cleaning I need is infrequent and pretty basic. Sometimes I just want my car to just have that extra level of freshness inside and out, so that's when I come here. Even on a busy day I've never had to wait more than 15 mins from start to finish. And although the dog hair in my car is limited (I have a dog under 20lbs that sits on a blanket, strapped to his doggy seatbelt) they always are able to quickly vacuum up most of his stray fly-away hair that may have found itself perching in random areas of my car. Years ago, I also had my previous vehicle detailed here. At that time, the car was close to 10 years old and had survived my early college years full of late night adventures, drive throughs, road trips and all kinds of mild trauma. I honestly thought there was no way even professional detailing would have made a significant impact, but boy was I wrong. The type of interior resurrection that was performed here was incredible and well worth the money spent. If you do come here, try your best to keep a few dollars of cash on you. My parking pass was removed and there was still trash left in my car. (Empty water bottles and empty bag). I looked through their trash for it IN THE DUMPSTER and still found nothing.
