Although, I wish the procedure would've been explained a bit more to calm our nerves, especially after watching the consent video, which made us even more nervous than we felt about the surgery initially. I would also like to note that my husband ended up getting an infection in one of the extraction sites, which is not entirely the fault of the clinic; however, there was no indication regarding the length of time that the syringe should be used for on the discharge paperwork. When we went back to the clinic, my husband had to get pus and food suctioned out because we assumed that we didn't need to use the syringe anymore after finishing the medication. In addition, I wish they could have used some kind of numbing agent so he wouldn't have to experience so much discomfort during the suctioning. During the suctioning visit, it was clarified that my husband should be using the syringe for 2-3 months after the surgery, as it takes months for the extraction sites to fully heal.

Her absolute worst nightmare came true: she woke up in the middle of the surgery. Because she was wearing protective glasses, she realized the staff wouldn't see her crying, so she began making noises with her mouth to get their attention. She heard the dentist instruct the nurse to administer "20 more ccs" of medication, but despite that, she could feel the dentist cutting and actively pulling on her teeth. After the procedure, the dentist came into the waiting room and told me she did well, giving me standard post-operative instructions. At no point did he mention that she had regained consciousness during the surgery. He instructed me to drive around to the pickup bay to get her. When I met her and the nurse at the exit door, the nurse simply said, "She did well, bless her." However, my wife was crying, silent, and visibly distraught. As I helped her into the vehicle and asked what was wrong, she broke down and told me she had woken up during the operation. I deeply wish someone on staff had been honest and informed me of what happened before we left the facility. While I am unsure if any formal remedy can fix this, I am sharing our experience to ensure others are aware.

If you are the shy type, forget it. By the time you can bring yourself to ask, he would already be gone. The girl gave me the prescriptions and I did ask her how I can have a prescription when they've yet to test the sample swab. To which she responds that they think it is eczema. Note that in no time was she ever near me to examine my skin rash.

They led me back as her visitor with into a nearby waiting room. Once ready, I was brought back to my friend's room. It was so clean, and well organized. The medical staff was friendly and communicated well. My friend was pleased and so was I. After several requests to this group to file my claim correctly they have done nothing and continue to invoice me $250 plus for a cleaning that clearly is a ZERO deductible to me. To further complicate and inconvenience me is that MD is in the middle of replacing a warranted crown that I paid in full. The crown procedure cracked my tooth root and two months later I am paying an Oral Surgeon to extract the tooth and prepare my jaw for an implant. However I remain in limbo since MD can't get my coverage straight. I never asked for this situation and I feel MD has dropped the ball and is unwilling to take the task to manage a transition in insurance coverage created by their action.
