Montgomery Tree recently completed work for me at my house in Lyndhurst. They were on time and worked efficiently. All work was performed as agreed and they took extra time to completely clean the area when the work was done. Their equipment is first rate and they were able to remove a large, dead tree from my backyard; by reaching over my two story house with their crane. The crane cut the tree, caught the cut trunk, then safely lifted the large sections over my house to be removed from my property. Joey and his team did a great job felling 4 trees that were too close to our house. The trees were dead Ash trees and some were leaning toward the house. I highly recommend Montgomery Tree and Stump Removal. Out of 10 companies, they were second lowest in price, and would remove stumps to 20" below grade. Most companies were hundreds of dollars more expensive, and less professional. The owner seemed very professional, honest, and knowledgable, which is why I hired him. He quoted 3 weeks, was willing to go down to 2 weeks, and actually completed the job within 1 week. He has new quality equipment and multiple crews. When he did the job he called me ahead of time, took more trees then he quoted when he found some that I missed, and did not charge me extra. When it was discovered that I had marked one trunk of a tree that had two trunks that forked near the base, he came back and did the second trunk for free, the same day. All together, he did around 40 trees for me in half a day. Unlike most companies that told me the job would be completed in two parts - cut trees first then grind stumps on another day, Montgomery Tree and Stump Removal did the complete job in half a day. When trimming a tree that over hung my roof and power wires, one large piece fell on my power wires. They refused to document this fact. The wires, so far, have not pulled out of the house, but it made a huge noise inside the house like someone hit the house full on with a sledge hammer. The owner blew me off when, I, in all fairness, kept asking for a receipt documenting their error, saying they were out of town and would do it next week, one excuse after the other. This went on for a year until they finally admitted they would not write me a receipt, because they had made that mistake and clearly wanted no record of it. read more
