HUGE mistake, my niece was bullied so bad she had to be treated for severe depression and suicidal ideation. After multiple meetings they started sending her to the school counselor for help, that nut job "taught" her how to be "less weird" so the kids wouldn't torment her. She blamed her............SHE BLAMED HER! both of my kids were bullied. Two of the kids had to be treated for depression and received therapy. The school told me my son was the problem, there was many tears and punishments and fights because he would not stop "acting up at school" when I finally pulled them out, one of the teachers pulled me aside and said, " I'm sorry for everything they put you through, He was never the problem." They were destroying me and my son's relationship. and for what?! Everybody else is always the problem. It's never them. Protect your children from this school. This is the GREEDIEST institution I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. The new principle has to many faces to deal with. one of the worst people I've met, her and her little helper aren't catholic and definitely do not portray the Love, acceptance, help, and values that the school used to endow. It's so sad. When your child is bullied in public school, it makes the news. When your child gets bullied at St. Francis, you have to pull them out in the middle of the year and then they will sue you for the tuition you would have paid if they had been able to stay. Moved ALL the kids to public school and now there is no more medication therapy or self-hatred. THEY ARE THRIVING. They were never the problem! After having them tested and finding out that my soon to be 3rd and 5h grader are still at a 1st grade level! I am now having to pay a tutor to get them caught up. This tutor did in 6 months what St. Francis couldn't do in FIVE YEARS. It is just a business now, not a family. Not anymore. "No one can serve two masters. Our experience felt unorganized with inadequately planned and poorly implemented curriculum. There was also an overall lack of communication. I will also note that the school advertises low student to teacher ratios, however, the majority of staff members working in the classrooms work as aides and do not hold degrees. I highly recommend against Dancing Moose for an elementary-age student.

The concept of self-initiated learning in a working democracy would…read morehave been perfect for me when I was in highschool, so I took my kids here for the better part of 3 school years. I personally made some life long friends with other parents from this school and so did one of my daughters. I'm glad my kids and I had this experience. They had a lot of fun and learned some life lessons while attending. When I asked my kids what they learned overall from their experience there one said, "Who to hang out with and who NOT to hang out with." The other agreed. Well, that's a life lesson I didn't learn myself until just this past year and I had to move 700+ miles away to learn this. One thing that could make this school better is if they took the lesson my kids learned and applied it to their admissions policy. Many of the students there that I knew were amazing, intelligent children, but there were a few bad apples that belong in reform school, not a sudbury school. Also one of their staff members is too put it nicely; a horrible person. I do not know if she is still there, but I've heard many horrible things about how she yells and causes drama and acts atrocious. If you check this school out, do yourself a favor, ask if the problematic staff member is still there. If she's not, then you may have found an excellent choice for your child. I did like how my kids could put their lunch in the fridge and heat it up in the kitchen... That's not something most schools offer... Their judicial committee, although not always effective or fair, is a good thing, but could use improvement. Like if a child is written up for something more than twice their parent should be notified so the parent can annalize what is going on and help the child grow from the problem. I love and admire many things about this school, but it has some flaws.. Still, it could be one of the best choices for many children.
