Stayed here recently for 2 nights because it was one of the cheaper options in the area. Didn't pay much for the stay so wasn't expecting much. The hotel was very nice and a room on the 17th floor had a great view of the city. Didn't get to try anything they had on site because we were out all day and got back too late at night. The gym is open 24hrs is what we were told but didn't try it out. My biggest issue with the hotel is the parking. They have their own underground parking lot which is nice but it costs $32 to park there. I thought it was a daily fee that's charged as part of the stay with in and out option but you have to pull a ticket and pay every time. If you're not parking there then would recommend it. Water pressure in the shower was also great. No complimentary breakfast but tea, coffee, and water are in the room. Would recommend if you don't plan on parking there.

Check in was simple and fast. Gym looks great but I will try to see if I can get the on line class. I booked a massage Thursday will try to post Room: on the 9th floor no fridge or I can't see one. This is one thing they should have.

Overview: Recently remodeled Marriott. Stayed here a few years ago and refresh is thorough. Nice rooms, decent service, one of the worst M Lounges around on the weekends. Check in: efficient check in on a recent Friday afternoon; asked for a room upgrade based on my status and Nathaniel responded that my room was already upgraded to the 32nd floor. Nathaniel was very pleasant. Room (3216): King bed, desk, settee near window, Samsung TV, mini-refrigerator, Nespresso coffee maker, all the normal items. Bed: firm mattress. Average linens. Frustrating under bed lighting system and randomly came on in the middle of the night. Cleanliness of room: above average. Good housekeeping. Noise/sleep quality: Little noise between rooms during our stay, some door slamming from hallway noticed. Some street noise came into the room even though we were not he 32nd floor. Bathroom: shower only, good pressure. Service: in general employees were adequate. Housekeeper on our floor was very sweet. Restaurant: On-site restaurant called "Lloyd"- see our separate review of Lloyd (cold eggs Benedict, staff full of excuses and no service) Parking: $27/day in the garage attached to the hotel. No in/out at the garage. Valet service available but valet costs $42/day. Gym: Nice gym Club: If you have status, there's an M Lounge. The M Lounge is horrible on the weekends. On both Saturday and Sunday of our stay the M Lounge was not serviced and food was empty, coffee makers not working, etc. I complained about the lack of food on Saturday with front desk staff. Complaint was ignored and Sunday was even worse. The M Lounge was so bad Sunday, we ate at the restaurant. Also, M Lounge offered yogurt that expired the day of visit. On the Monday of our stay, the M Lounge was fully stocked and well run. Management response re M Lounge: I complained about having to buy breakfast at Lloyd, and hotel management refunded our charge at the restaurant. Management's response neutralized the overall poor experience. Internet: Upgraded to high speed access. Nperf test showed 44 Mb down/40 Mb up. Good speed for remote work. Misc: (1) This is a downtown hotel and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. (2) About 10 minute walk to the old city or Chinatown. (3) If you have status and get a $10 US credit for food or drink, this hotel provides its own unique exchange rate from US to Canadian dollars. During our visit the real exchange rate was about $1 US to $1.31 Canadian. But our $10 US credit voucher only gave us $12 at Lloyd.

Newly renovated Montréal Marriott Château Champlain Visiting Montreal, Canada in December is definitely a different sight of scene. It's much less crowded. The snow mixed-in muddy roads didn't stop us from walking all over places. Enjoyed our stay at Montréal Marriott Château Champlain with complimentary upgrade. Loved the convenience of M club and Lloyd restaurant. Gorgeous newly renovated rooms come with beautiful views and top of the line amenities. Very good hotel. It's a bit overpriced. That's why can't give 5/5. 16$ dollar bloody Cesar is only the tip of the iceberg. It's a prime location, gorgeous view. I had a good night sleep and the room are just beautiful. If you don't mind the price. I would absolutely recommend it.

This was my second time staying here and I absolutely love it. I got a room with a view of the city up on the 18th floor. It was beautiful. The room was clean and had all the amenities you need. I particularly liked the shower and all the different water outlets and the pressure. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is really nice and there are lots of great options! You can even request them to make you an omelet. The gym is clean and has several options of machines to use. It will s in a great location to walk to several places! We walked to Old Town Montreal, Mont Royal and everything in between! There's so much to do within a walking distance (3 miles radius). The city felt safe to walk during the day and late at night. The only con of my visit was the alarm that went off at 7am. It was my one day to sleep in after a long trip and the alarm was verrry loud and scared the hell out of me! It was an alarm notifying guests that the elevator was down.

Gorgeous hotel in a great location in downtown Montreal. Metro access is avail from lobby elevator, and walking distance to Gare Central, Underground City, Vieux Montreal (Notre Dame) and even the Port waterfront (Grand Quai). Excellent service by eager and friendly staff. Largest Gym (in North America for a hotel, according to the claim) with dry sauna, and Terrace overlooking cityscape. We would definitely stay here again. Five Stars!

Checking in was very easy and they even said they were expecting me, which was very refreshing after the last hotel I stayed in for business, which was the Hilton in Richmond, VA at Short Pump in which the staff was very condescending and poor at checking people in, especially business travelers. This place definitely took great care at check in to make sure I felt welcomed, including asking me if I had any questions. She went over everything I needed to know about the property. When I got to the room I was impressed with the size of it - it was pretty large, with lots of open space, a decent desk, plenty of seating, and a very nice, clean, and comfortable bed which was fitted with ironed sheets! The TV in the room was disproportionately small and their streaming channel options were limited, but I made the best of it, as it's mostly background noise while I'm working anyway. The location is decent, only a couple of blocks from the Rue Sainte-Catherine shopping and dining area, which also has the Complexe Desjardins (a mall). There's a Metro station a block away as well. They have a decent size gym with all the normal stuff and a pretty nice, two-level lounge for those with access via their loyalty level. Overall, I'm enjoying the stay here and would return!

One standout was the gym, which is much better than what you typically find in hotels, with multiple treadmills, a stair stepper, ellipticals, and a solid selection of weights. They also have a two lane indoor pool and an indoor hot tub, which were nice added amenities. I especially appreciated that my room had a patio, it was great being able to get some fresh air. The only downside was the noise. There were very loud neighbours in the hallway with screaming and music playing until around 11:30 pm. I contacted the front desk and was told security would be sent up, but no one came and the noise continued past midnight. Overall, a solid hotel with great amenities, but the lack of follow through on the noise issue was disappointing.

You can take the 747 bus directly from the airport to this hotel, but it's t will take around 40 ish mins or so. If you decide to rent a car, parking is at this hotel $30 CAD a day to keep your car parked. When purchasing your metro tickets from the airport, there is a machine that you will purchase it from. Just get the non-rechargeable ticket for 24 hours for $11 CAD. It will NOT take American Credit Cards or American money. It has to be a Canadian Credit Card or HAVE Canadian cash. I can say that this hotel is conveniently located on the edge of Quartier Des Spectacles, just a couple of blocks from The Gay Village & about 3 blocks from Chinatown. It's a walking distance between both and areas. It's only two or three blocks from the Orange Line, Yellow Line, and Green Line of the metro. The rooms are kind of small, but great if all you're doing is just sleeping there. There is so to do in the area. Downfalls are: there is no coin laundry. However, there is a plastic bag in your closet that you can put your dirty laundry in. Take it downstairs to the front desk and pay them $20 CAD for them to do your laundry. Your cloths will be ready the next day in the afternoon and folded for you. You will have to pick a your laundry from the front desk. Your bedroom will ONLY be cleaned EVERY OTHER DAY. So, don't expect them to clean your room everyday. If you need extra towels, you will have to call down to the front desk or just pick them up from the front desk. Breakfast is NOT included as part of your stay like it is in the United States or America, unless you choose that options or pay extra when booking. Another downfall is that, at the time I was here, they only had two fans. One was broken and the other, someone else had. We stayed here for 6 nights and every night we kept asking for a fan, which of course they did NOT have. They kept trying to fix the A/C, but what we really needed was air circulation. Most hotels have or keep extra fans for their guests. Just note that if you need a fan for air circulation and comfort, you may not get one. So just take cold showers. There is no microwave or coffee maker in your room. There is however a small refrigerator there. They have a good coffee maker downstairs, tea, water foundation, microwave, and dinning area you can eat at. The front desk will have plastic utensils if you ask them for some. There is a gym, extra restrooms, vending machines, and ice on the "M" floor. The staff are ALL really nice! They had great customer service and had no problems with them. Their customer service alone was a five star. And again, this hotel is very conveniently located.

Let's start with cleanliness. The room is outdated, beat up, and was bordering on filthy. See the attached pics featuring the desk chair. I happened to be in a street facing room so there is the occasional bit of noise, but that wasn't a problem. Then there's the temperature. In one of the hottest weeks Montréal has seen so far this summer, my air conditioning unit was practically non-functional. The temperature in my room regularly topped out at 26 degrees. The young man at the front desk was happy to come reset the unit (I want to add here that the lobby air conditioning also seemed to be non-functional, horrible for the staff) and it briefly cooled down to a to a tolerable 22. Same song and dance the next day, where I had to go buy a fan from Best Buy in an attempt to get more than a few hours of decent sleep. No one ever followed up with me to see if things were improved, so I had to approach the front desk again. The same nice young gentleman came to my room, fiddled with the display for the AC for a few minutes, and I had a blissful night at 21.5 degrees. One night. I'm currently on night 6 (thank god, the last one) of my stay and it's 26 degrees. Never was I offered a different room, I had to ask (and none were available), never did they try to get a repairman into the room, nothing. It's made my stay here horrible. The hotel is located in a dodgy part of Rue Saint-Catherine. Red lights district with a visible unhoused population, and as a solo female traveler I experienced some harassment coming to and leaving from the hotel. I wouldn't feel safe being out after dark here. During the day it's relatively convenient to metro lines and a reasonable walk from local attractions. For a chain, I expect better. The staff was nice enough but there are no standards. Guests bang around at all hours of the night and you can feel vibrations through the walls. The AC panel blazes a bright blue light into the room all night, making it impossible to sleep unless you're knocked out or wear an eye mask. The hotel itself is worn and dingy. I didn't even try the breakfast for fear of wasting a vacation day on the toilet. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
