This is a locally owned shop which replaced the driver's side window on a 2000 Ford E-250 van for me and did an excellent job doing so. The ladies in the front office were very personable and helped to make the hour+ wait a pleasant one. The owner personally came out several times to inform me of the progress and then details of completion. I highly recommend putting them first on your list of who to call for your auto glass and similar needs. read more

Do not recommend. Out of warranty 15 days and because I have not been able to contact them they will not cover. Spots on windshield on driver side when looking out of it with polarized glasses. Not to mention the windshield was chipped around the edges after install of a new windshield. Wayyyy out of warranty according to the owner. read more

After having our driver-side front window stop working on a stormy Friday in Ouray, we tried to get help by contacting several area shops but all were either closed or booked solid. We drove up to Montrose thinking we'd have better luck. Montrose Auto glass greeted us with smiles and immediately took our jeep back to their shop... without an appointment! They removed the panel, found loose glass interfering with the mechanism and had it working within 15 minutes. They were super friendly and the entire fix cost only $50. I have never had such poor workmanship on a windshield. Ordered wrong windshield told me its an 04 when its an 07 classic but they didnt order the classic had the right windshield in stock luckily. Left my antenna hanging from the wire rather than reattaching to the windshield and made my headliner fabric detach and hanging. I won't be back after the hack job they did. read more

I scheduled to have my windshield replaced. I ended up being out of town. Some one took the car in for me. I was contacted the day before by the great front desk people and told them to call me for any questions and to get a credit card for payment. Neither of those things were done. They asked the person who brought it in what if a part needed to be saved and let them call me. They also didn't call me to get a credit card for payment, letting the person who brought it in pay for it. When I called to speak to someone about it, I wasn't asking for money, or replacement. The windshield is great and and I've had two other cars done there just fine. I was just trying to make a point that I specifically asked to be contacted for questions and payment, and they didn't even try. All I wanted was an acknowledgement that they fell down on the communication part, instead I got the owner who insisted that they had no responsibility to call me. Even though the woman I talked to the day before to confirm the appointment said she would make a note about the questions and payment. Great glass, not so great on customer service. read more

My sunroof shattered for no apparent reason while I was in town. Kyle and Ronda got me in right away to clean out the broken glass and put a temporary cover on it so that I could return to Denver. It only took them approx. 35 min. They were so incredibly helpful. The cover stayed on through rain that night and the drive home the next day! Thank you all so much! read more

An amazing find, this is the second time I have used Montrose Auto Glass. Both times they have been great: I don't live in Montrose and they were fast to get me in and out. The ladies in the front are always helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. They truly care. I highly recommend them and they are my to go place for any windshield needs. John, the owner, is the worst individual to deal with. So rude, so unprofessional, and so unwilling to help a customer when it was the shops error! The ladies at the front desk are awesome and SO helpful though. I had an issue with a windshield I got repaired through them not sealing and leaking water into my passenger floorboard. I recently moved to MT before I noticed the leaking (no rain for a month). When I called to see what the shop would do, the ladies in the office were helpful and wanted to make it right. I did have to talk to the owner to get it solved, and wow. I will never bring business to him again. He told me they would not cover a repair unless it was brought back to the shop... I live in Montana at this point. It was clearly an error by the shop, which is not a big deal, but unwilling to fix your own mistakes and back-up your work?? Then, to top it off, I have never been spoken to so rudely as I was by the owner, John. Not a company I will go back to again. It the end it was resolved by the kindness of the ladies in the front office, but overall, a terrible experience. read more
