Hmm. Apparently, I started this review a couple months ago and apparently got distracted.
Monty's had been on our list of places to try for a couple years and we just never got around to it until [this summer] because the other places we thought about were closed.
First, the restaurant is small and cozy. It has about a dozen tables (and based on at least one other review, there is more seating downstairs). We called ahead to book a table, but didn't really need to on that Sunday afternoon. I imagine that it could get crowded on other nights. Speaking of other nights, our friends had gone on another night and advised us that it was an upscale place. We were smartly dressed, but most of the diners were in denim. That's OK; it was our anniversary.
Knowing that it was our anniversary, Monty's had a bottle of champagne waiting for us. That was thoughtful of them. So, even though I don't drink, I appreciated the effort and did have a glass.
Now, being that it has been a couple months, I don't remember exactly what we ordered. No worries because their menu changes constantly based on what's in season and what suits the chef's fancy. Trust me. It was very tasty and well-presented. I would order it again.
Sorry this is dated. You should go there and post a review! :) read more
