After wanting to find a new facial place, naturally I got on YELP. I booked my first facial appointment online then decided I wanted to add on dermaplaning and Blanca was so helpful when I called. She answered all of my questions and really took her time explaining things. I didn't feel rushed at all. She even shared that dermaplaning and a hydro facial are her favorite combo, which made me feel more comfortable because I've never had dermaplaning done. I could hardly wait until my appointment day! When I walked in, I was immediately greeted with friendliness and smiles from Anna Lisa and Jillian! They offered me a drink, so many fun choices! Then I signed some newbie forms. After Anna Lisa took me to a private room. Ugh, the vibes were amazing. 10/10. Major spa vibes, scents, sounds, lights, and warmth. Love that you can get cozy and put the towel robe on. Then getting in the heated bed is the cherry on top, but the facial hasn't even started!!! On to the services...I got dermaplaning and a deluxe hydrafacial. Not going to say too much about the services because you really need to see for yourself, but Anna Lisa was amazing!!! I really appreciate that she took her time with me, answered my questions, and provided the most relaxed, and comfortable experience for me. We also discussed in detail about my skin concerns and after examining my face, she went to work! Minh explained what she is putting on my face, how it helps and the next steps. Her hands and technique felt amazing on my skin. I felt so relaxed and taken care of. She was super gentle and as gentle as can be when she did extractions. At the end of the night while taking my shower, my face felt SO soft and so clean. This was the softest my skin had ever felt. It's obvious that she has a lot of loyal regular clients for all of her services and I noticed that she even has several male clients that get facials. Although my skin is in fairly good condition, I do have some pores that have congestion. I was a bit reluctant to try but since I trust Nancy and she's gotten great reviews, I decided to get a facial. I have no idea why I assumed only women got them but I did. Since it was my first time I asked Nancy to let me know what she was doing as she went along. Every step of the process, Nancy explained what she was doing and why. I couldn't believe how smooth my skin felt right after my facial but also for days to follow. It was very refreshing, relaxing and my pores were clear. I was optimistic that I'd find my go-to local facial spot after reading reviews, however I had an…read moreunpleasant experience with Nancy, for multiple reasons: 1) She was 15 mins late for our 10am appt 2) I happened to mention at the start of our appt that I had a massage scheduled for later. Nancy let me know she provides massage services as well. Despite expressing I'm happy with my massage therapist, she spent the entire appointment prying about him (location, experience, etc) in what seemed like an attempt to convince me she is better. Even when the subject changed, she repeatedly came back to it. 3) She prides herself on including a complimentary neck and upper back massage as a part of the facial (mentioned it to me on the phone and text). However, when I requested more pressure during the massage portion, she became defensive and said, "This is a facial, not a massage" and that I should schedule a massage if that's what I want. I did not feel like my muscles were massaged at all. If you're going to include a massage of your own accord, why be so defensive when the client makes a request regarding pressure? It was uncomfortable. 4) I got two dark spots on my face where Nancy did extractions. This has never happened before. I texted to ask about it and she insinuated it's because I'm Indian and Indian women tend to have hyperpigmentation in general... despite my saying I've never had this issue. Overall, I did not feel she was professional or knowledgeable and did not appreciate her attitude. Giving 2 stars because the products seem like high quality.
