Love their essential oil. Egyptian Goddess is the best. I get so many compliments, and they are not all the same.

It looked pretty small when I entered, since it does share a space with a yoga studio. That aside,…read moreeven before I noticed that the shop actually spans the entire hallway adjacent to the yoga spaces and a small area in the back, I was already enjoying browsing the jewelry and small stones near the entrance. The shop has several different sizes of Tibetan singing bowls, stained glass home decor, a wide selection of tarot card decks, some apparel, and more stones in the back area. My nephew selected several small stones and was super happy when the clerk let him choose from a bunch of decorative pouches to store them in when we checked out. All in all, it's a cute shop jam packed with stuff for crystal enthusiasts, so I'd definitely go back. Note: Don't look for the name on the marquee because only the yoga studio's on there (Samskara Yoga and Healing). It's easy to miss if you're moving quickly, but it's right next to a swimming school--which is not as easy to miss. Enjoy!

The store is right next to Cubasi in the wegmans shopping center! Bought some really pretty crystals and they offer some nice classes! Everything is fairly priced and all products are ethically sourced and fair trade! Also super Covid cautious which is nice! Samskara and Pawsitive Angels (for owners and pets) are within the same building! Support this local business!

I've seen gem sluices other places, like Myrtle Beach, but never understood the appeal. We were traveling with a 7-year-old this time and his mom really wanted him to experience it. I remained unconvinced until his father started to help him pour the sand into the sieve and the geodes started to appear. Jeremy has recently embraced his love of amethyst and had just bought a geode at the gift shop at the caverns for some crazy amount of money ($65). Our 7-year-old friend came away with one on his first batch, which was nowhere near what Jeremy had spent. Lesson learned, I'm doing the gem mining first, if Jeremy ever starts talking about expanding his rock collection. Our friend also came away with a variety of other gemstones and some sharks teeth. In his second batch of sand, he got another amethyst and the most gorgeous white quartz geode I have ever seen. It was such a fun experience. NOW I understand the appeal. Would recommend.

The mining sluices are part of the Heritage Museum. It was really cool with bits of information about the history of the whole Luray area, from pre-historic, to the pre-colonial, to today. Sadly, we showed up about 10 minutes until close, so they encouraged us to move towards the mining sluices and we were able to operate the sluices after the shop and museum closed. So we bought our bags (for a reasonable price) and got to sluicing! A small bag per child was perfect. The kids got through everything in 5 minutes and then had their pretty clean gems to take home. A perfect amount of time for the kids and little prizes to take home. Definitely don't sleep on coming here!
